I have worked with children with ADD and ADHD. I have also taught children who struggle with fixed mindset and  self-belief issues. Many multi-lingual learners too. I have worked with children who need tools to help them get into the learning zone - calming, focusing, self-regulating. Display the words, make crosswords, quizzes, matching games for children to reinforce knowledge. Wordwall.net is very useful. I will go away and work on pictures to support this. Learner variability is the rule rather than the exception and if we aim to the edges then the middle will take care of itself. I find the bowling pin analogy helps me to think about the strengths of the students I work with.
