1. Leave good impressions. I am often shy but to leave good impressions I need to be sociable and build connections with the teachers I meet and be kind and courteous.

2. Be there for the students before teaching. Teaching the students matters and is why I am here, however, making sure they are safe and happy and feel like someone genuinely is there for them and cares is what matters most. They need to feel inspired in order to make a difference, not just have information put into their heads all day and sent home.

3. It’s the little things that are rewarding. Out of all of my observations I see the interactions teachers have with their students and the little things that make it rewarding at the end of the day.
