         <title>The Plot Structure</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The plot is in a chronological order<br><strong><em>Introduction</em></strong><br>The author is nervous about visiting his sensei to return the new shoes he gave to the author before the sensei went into the POW camp although he was worried about how his sensei was being treated. <br><strong><em>Rising Action</em></strong><br>He was discourage from going to the POW camp in fear of being blamed of having negotiations with the Japanese. After much contemplation, the author decides to visit his sensei at the POW camp. <br><strong><em>Climax</em></strong><br>The narrator sees his sensei in a terrible state, and he isn't able to convince his sensei to talk to him.&nbsp; In a last attempt to get his sensei to talk to him, the narrator sings "Aogeba", a song that his sensei taught him. His sensei finally decides to sing along with the author.<br><strong><em>Falling Action</em></strong><br>After the narrator finished singing with his sensei, his sensei said that he doesn't need the shoes that the author brought and asked him to keep them. <br><strong><em>Conclusion</em></strong><br>When the author was leaving the POW camp, he felt like he had grown big enough to fit into hi sensei's shoes. This references the beginning of the story where he felt that his sensei's shoes were too big for him and has a hidden meaning of showing that the narrator felt like he had grown from the incident with his sensei<br><br></div>]]></description>
