One thing I improved on was making my essay flow better. I incorporated the use of transitions and combining transitions with topic sentences. Also throughout the paragraph transitions were used.

One skill i believe i improved on was creating a strong introduction with transitions. In the first essay we did outside of class i struggled to make a strong introduction but through the slides that prof. Takeuchi showed us it gave me a outline of how i should structure my introductions which helped me a lot.

I think I've improved my writing by getting to practice skills like structure, quotations, and grammar. For example, during the beginning of this month, I relied a lot on using terms like "I", "We", and "In this Essay" to deliver my points, but by practicing to write without these terms throughout the semester, I think my writing has become more formal and I've become more comfortable not using those terms in academic papers.

A skill that I had improve on is structuring my essay. Before I would just just right my essay and see how it all fit in together. However, now I label and match my organize my works to keep the structure easy to read.

One skill that I think that I have improved on is being able to quickly think about the details of an essay such as a thesis, supporting details, and a conclusion in a short time period. For the Out of Class Essays, I had basically one day to write everything and I think it allowed to me think faster and write for longer since I didn't have to time to sit on the things I wanted to talk about like in a regular 16-week class.

A writing skill that I improved in is the formatting when writing an essay. Having the specific order given to us (transitions, topic sentence, analysis) made it easier to write the assignment.

A skill I've improved on is creating a thesis statement that is more than just a formal statement. For example, I used to always state it as "This essay will be about..." but the rubric making me try out new ways of writing a thesis has really helped me grow beyond that to something more fluent and less formulaic.

One skill I believe I've improved on in my writing would be the development aspect. While I felt confident in my ideas, I struggled with illustrating them in my writing and connecting them to a thesis statement. I feel like throughout the past few weeks, I've shown improvement in my ability to exemplify my ideas in my writing. For example, in the evaluation essay, I felt like my writing was a lot stronger in terms of being able to explain the examples I included from the movie of my selection and correlated them to my thesis better.

Skills I have improved on over the last 5 weeks is brainstorming, I used to have a hard time finding topics or in general coming up with how to brainstorm. After receiving the paper of different way of how to brainstorm I have found a way to do so that helps me. And writing a transitions, going over examples of how to write them made it easier to understand how to do it.

A writing skill I think I have improved the most on is my brainstorming. Jotting down any and all thoughts after reading the prompts for the take-home essays has helped me beat "writers block". Sometimes deciding what to write about is the hardest part, but this practice allows me to get the ball rolling and produce the best work while managing my time well. Before I would look at the prompt for days waiting till the last minute, but now I spread out my work across many days to regulate my work load.
