Today I want to introduce a movie that impressed me a lot. The movie is The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey.

First, let’s look at the contents. I prepared three parts: story, review.

The main character is Truman Burbank, an ordinary office worker living in a small town with his family and friends. But in fact, his life is a giant TV show, and all the people around him are actors. He starts to notice strange and repeated situations, and he begins to doubt his world. Even though many things try to stop him, Truman gets courage, escapes from the fake world, and goes to the real world.

The Truman Show shows how Truman finds the truth and chooses freedom. From this movie, I learned that people naturally want freedom, and I also thought about how much I live my own life.

Finally, I will finish my presentation with my favorite line:

“Good morning! And in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!”

The Audi R8 is a supercar made by Audi, a famous German car company. It shows the company’s best technology and design. The car started in 2006 and became one of Audi’s most popular models.

The R8 is inspired by racing. Audi’s R8 race cars won many times at the Le Mans 24-hour race. Because of this, the road version of the R8 is not only very fast but also has real racing spirit.

It has a powerful V10 engine with about 600 horsepower. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3 seconds, and its top speed is over 300 km/h. Audi’s four-wheel-drive system, called “quattro,” makes it very stable even at high speed.

The design is low and wide, which makes it look like a real supercar. Inside, there is a digital display called the “Virtual Cockpit” for the driver.

People call it a “daily supercar” because it is fast, strong, and still comfortable to drive every day. Audi also plans to make the next R8 an electric supercar.

In short, the Audi R8 is fast, stylish, and practical. It is one of the most special cars made by Audi.

When I came to this school, I had a goal.

Because of that goal, I was able to come all the way here.

My name is kwak dong wook, and I am a second-year student at Gyeongbuk Mechanical Technical High School.

Today, I would like to introduce my major, the Precision Mechanical Department.

In our department, we learn about machines, tools, and technology that are used in many industries.

In my first year, I joined a mentor-mentee club as a mentee and learned from mentors’ study habits and attitudes.

I wanted to become a mentor, so I studied hard every day after school for one month. I prepared for the Electrician License and computer skills by studying two hours daily.

At first, it was hard and unfamiliar, but I passed the test with steady effort and clear goals.

Now, I am a mentor with the second highest grade in my class. I help my mentees improve their grades by more than 10 points.

Today, I will introduce Hangeul and King Sejong.

Hangeul is the Korean alphabet. It was made in 1443 by King Sejong the Great.

Before Hangeul, people used Chinese characters. But they were very hard.

Only rich or educated people could use them.

King Sejong wanted all people to read and write.

So he made Hangeul.

It has 14 consonants and 10 vowels.

The letter shapes show how we move our mouth and tongue.

It is simple and easy to learn.

Thanks to Hangeul, Korean people can write their own language.

We celebrate Hangeul Day on October 9th.

If not, today I would like to introduce my hometown, Yulha-dong in Dong-gu, Daegu.

Yulha-dong is a wonderful community where many families live.

It is peaceful, friendly, and has many convenient facilities.

There are many apartments, schools, and parks in Yulha-dong.

The most popular place is Yulha Sports Park.

People walk, exercise, and enjoy time with their families there.

The movie I chose is Life of Pi.
It tells the story of a boy, Pi, who survives a shipwreck.
He is stranded on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

At first, Pi fears the tiger.
But later, the tiger gives him the strength to survive.
After many struggles, Pi finally reaches land.

Later, Pi tells another version of the story without the tiger.
This makes us ask: Was the tiger real,
or was it only a symbol of his inner strength?

This part moved me the most.
I like its deep, philosophical message.
It shows that in life, stories and beliefs can be as important as facts.

For me, the tiger represents my dreams and goals.
They push me forward, even in hard times.

In the end, Life of Pi is not just about survival.
It is about hope, faith, and the meaning of the stories we choose to believe.

My role model is Kobe Bryant. Kobe achieved his dream of becoming a successful basketball player by following the routines and moves of players who had already succeeded. Through this, he improved his skills and finally reached his goal. Unfortunately, Kobe passed away at a young age in a tragic accident.

At the memorial event for Kobe, Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players in history, said, “Kobe copied great players in order to succeed. But now, great players copy Kobe in order to succeed.” This was the highest praise Jordan could give, and it showed how much influence Kobe had on younger players and the basketball world.

I chose Kobe Bryant as my role model because, like him, I want to work tirelessly, achieve success, and become a person who inspires others.

Building on this excellent environment, our school has been producing many students for large corporations every year.

In fact, the last year, the employment rate was 95%, about 20% of graduates finding employment at large corporations. our school’s success can be seen in newspaper and on plancards.

Good morning, everyone.

Today, I want to share a story with you. It’s not about a famous person or a character in a book. It’s about me.

This is my journey—a story of moving, adapting, failing, and finding a new start.

[Part 1 – Childhood in Dalseong / Dong-gu]

I was born in Daegu and lived in Yulha-dong, Dong-gu, until the third grade of elementary school.

Life there was simple and peaceful. I had great friends, had fun, and was happy.

But things changed when my older brother graduated from elementary school. My family decided to move to Suseong-gu, an area famous for its competitive schools and many cram schools.

[Part 2 – The Challenge of Moving]

To be honest, I was shocked.

There were so many academies, so many students, and a lot of competition.

At first, I felt like a stranger. I didn’t feel like I belonged.

But slowly, I adapted. I made new friends, studied hard, and once again, I started to enjoy my elementary school life.

[Part 3 – Middle School Struggles]

When I graduated, I really wanted to go to the middle school near my elementary school with my friends.

But life had other plans.

We moved again, and I was assigned to a completely different middle school.

No friends. No familiar faces. It was just me, all alone.

It was a tough time. But once again, I adapted.

I studied very hard, went to many cram schools, and even got into the gifted education program. I even ranked within the top 5 of my class. Everything seemed fine.

[Part 4 – Falling into Games]

But then, something happened.

Between the first and second year of middle school, I discovered a whole new world: video games.

Games were so much fun. Too much fun.

Slowly, I lost my passion for studying. My grades didn't completely fail, but they definitely started to drop.

Still, I kept telling myself, "It's okay. I'll figure it out later."

[Part 5 – The Big Decision]

But when it was time to choose a high school, I was lost.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do.

Should I go to a regular high school? Should I just try to study harder? Or was it already too late?

After thinking about it for a long time, I made my decision.

I decided to enter Gyeongbuk Mechanical Technical High School, a Meister high school.

It was a big change, but I truly wanted a new start.

And now, here I am.

I am still learning, still struggling, and still growing.

My story isn't just about success. It's about challenges and choices.

I believe that every challenge I’ve faced has made me stronger.

Today, I want to talk about a book called Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche.

This book is more than one hundred years old, but its ideas still feel fresh today.

The main character, Zarathustra, is like a wise teacher. He leaves his mountain home to teach people about life. One of the most famous ideas in the book is the “Übermensch,” or “Overman.” It means a person who keeps improving themselves and does not let fear or weakness control their life.

When I first read about the Overman, I thought it was difficult to understand. But then I realized it is like a message to never give up, to keep growing, and to create your own values instead of just following others.

Another idea from the book is “eternal return.” It says that life might repeat again and again, forever. At first, that sounded scary. But then I thought: if my life will repeat, I want to live in a way that I will never regret. That idea made me want to be more positive and to make better choices.

This book also teaches us that life is not always easy. There will be pain, sadness, and failure. But Nietzsche says that even suffering can help us grow stronger, like fire making steel harder.

Reading this book was not easy, but it gave me a lot of courage. It made me ask myself: “Am I living in my own way, or am I just following others?” Now, I try to take small steps every day to become a better version of myself.

In conclusion, Thus Spoke Zarathustra is not just a philosophy book. It is a guide to living bravely and meaningfully. I hope one day you can also read it and find your own message in it.

To briefly summarize, Santiago, an old fisherman, goes 84 days without catching a single fish. On the 85th day, he finally catches a giant marlin. However, on his way back home, sharks attack and leave him with nothing but the skeleton of the fish.

When I first read this book, I had just failed my midterm exams and lost the motivation to try again. But Santiago, despite losing the result of 85 days of effort in just 3 days, never gave up. His persistence made me reflect on my own attitude toward failure. It reminded me that even when I fall short, I should not be discouraged but continue to challenge myself.

I believe life is like a marathon. We may all start from the same line, but even a small mistake can create a big gap. Still, as Hemingway expressed through Santiago: “A man can be destroyed, but not defeated.” With that spirit, I want to overcome my mistakes, keep running forward, and one day cross the finish line of my own marathon.

What impressed me most was the line: “When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it.”This taught me that if I follow my dreams with courage, the world will support me in unexpected ways.

처음 어리숙하던 저는 이제 없고, 성숙하게 친구들을 가르치는 제가 되었습니다. 이러한 좋은 기회를 주신 김미선선생님과 장은실선생님께 감사드립니다.

3.활동방법:학교에서 진도로 나갈때 쓰는 학습지와 교과서를 위주로 공부하며 보통 개념이해 위주로 공부를 하였습니다. 1번은 학습지를 직접 만들며 예문을 풀어 멘티들의 이해를 도왔습니다.

4. 처음에는 시간이 부족하여 수업하고 아쉬움이 너무 많고 자주 있었지만 시간이 지나며 친구들과 얼굴도 익숙해지고 수업시간도 딱 맞춰 끝내가며 성장하는 저의 모습이 감동스러웠고 제가 저의 수업을 주도하며 누군가를 가르치는 점에서 흥미 또한 느꼈습니다. 마지막으로 제 수업을 들은 친구의 과학성적이 70>90점이 되는 쾌거를 이루니 저의 마음 또한 기쁘고 성취감과 뿌듯함을 느꼈습니다.

처음에는 단순히 간식 많이주고 상점 봉사시간주는 활동인줄 알았지만 시간이 지나며 보다 더욱 큰 무언가를 얻어 이러한 활동을 만드신 장은실 선생님과 김미선 선생님께 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

또한 매번 새로운 실습 과제를 준비하고 책임감을 가지고 활동을 이행하는 과정에서, 저의 학습 습관과 문제 해결 능력 역시 더욱 규칙적이고 체계적으로 발전했습니다. 이러한 멘토링은 더 큰 책임감으로 스스로를 성장시키는 소중한 기회가 되었습니다.

멘티들을 모집하였습니다. 수업시간에 사용된 학습지를 기반으로 개념 설명, 교과서 문제 풀어보기 등 멘티들의 수준에 맞추어 진행하였습니다. 활동때마다 멘티들이 어려운 부분이나 문제가 있으면 옆에서 수준에 맞게 쉽게 설명하며 같이 풀어보며 저의 공부도 보충하였습니다. 1학년 1년동안의 활동으로 가르치는 것이 마냥 쉬운 것은 아니며 나의 설명을 귀담아듣지 않는 것이 가르쳐주는 입장에서 조금 서운하다는 것도 알수 있는 계기가 되었습니다. 뿐만 아니라 상대방의 이야기를 듣고 이해하려는 태도가 얼마나 중요한지 깨달았습니다. 처음에는 어떻게 설명해야 할지 고민이 많았었고 막막하였었지만 계속 설명해보며 경험을 쌓아 설명이 자연스럽게 설명하는 방법도 꺠달았습니다.. 또한 꾸준히 멘토준비를 하고 책임감을 가지고 활동하는 과정에서 제 학습 습관도 더 계획적이고 규칙적으로 바뀌었습니다. 그보다 멘티들이 과학점수가 점점 올라간다라고 말할 때 자랑스러움과 큰 잘 가르쳐줬다는 큰 보람을 느꼈으며 멘토멘티라는 동아리를 하길 잘했다는 생각을 가지게되었습니다.

첫 수업을 할 때 어떻게 수업해야 할지 잘 몰라서 많이 어색하고 어려웠다 그리고 계속 똑같은 멘티들이 아니라 계속 바뀌다 보니 설명을 비슷하게 하면 알아듣는 멘티도 있었지만 그렇지 않은 멘티들도 있어서 어려웠다 그래서 초반에는 미리 준비한 내용들을 책 읽듯이 읽어주고 멘티들에게 질문을 받고 이런 식으로 수업을 했었다

하지만 시간이 지나면서 어떤 식으로 수업을 해야 멘티들이 잘 이해할 수 있는지 조금씩 알게 되었다

멘티들에게 단어나 문법 문제를 풀게 해서 멘티들의 실력을 확인한 후 그에 맞게 천천히 설명하고 이해하기 어려워하는 부분들은 수업 시간 때 배운 예문들을 활용하여 다시 설명하니까 이해하는 모습이 보였다 멘토 멘티 활동 후반부에는 수업 준비도 첫날 보다 더 익숙해지고 그룹을 나누어 수업을 하니 친구들을 더 잘 봐주게 되었다 이번 활동을 통해 나의 영어 실력도 다지면서 친구들의 영어 실력도 올라가는 모습을 보고 기분이 좋았다 누군가를 가르치는 것이 얼마나 책임감 있는지도 알게 되었다 그러면서 선생님들께서 얼마나 힘드실 거 같은지 조금이라도 알게 되었다 처음엔 수업하는 것이 서투르고 어색했지만 시간이 점점 지나다 보니 처음보다 수업도 잘하게 되었고 친구들에게 도움을 줄 수 있어서 좋고 특별한 경험이었다

마지막으로 활동 계획을 세우고 매 시간 진행 순서를 정리하는 과정 자체가 좋은 경험이었다. 시간 관리 능력, 수업 구성 능력, 활동에 대한 이해도도 높일수 있었습니다. 이로써 결과적으로는 친구의 수학성정은 40점 이상이 올랐고, 저는 수학성적 95점 이상을 받을수있었습니다.  처음에는 단순히 친구들에게 문제를 알려주고 공부를 도와주는 활동이라고만 생각했지만, 실제로 활동을 하다 보니 그 이상으로 많은 책임감과 소통이 필요하다는 것을 알게 되었습니다

1년 동안의 활동을 돌아보면 완벽하진 않았지만, 최선을 다했고 이로써 멘티들에게 작은 도움이라도 준 것 같습니다. 저 역시 여러 방면에서 많은 부분을 배운것 같아 많이 뿌듯합니다 

또한 멘티와 내가 아는것의 차이가 있다는 것을 느끼고 멘티가 알기 쉽게 설명해 주는 법을 조금은 알게 되어서 좋은 성장 기회가 될수 있었던 것 같습니다

이 멘토멘티활동에서 멘티들을 가르치기 위해 배웠던 것들을 다시 읽어보고 적어보는 과정에서 저의 실력도 같이 좋아지는 것을 느꼈습니다. 또한 다른 사람들을 가르치는 것이 정말 힘든 것이라고 느꼈고, 저희를 가르쳐주시는 선생님들이 정말 대단하시다고 다시 한번 느꼈습니다. 그리고 이 활동을 해가며 매 활동마다 모르는 친구들을 만나고 가르쳐보면서 점점 다른 사람들을 가르치는 법도 알게되었고, 모르는 친구들과도 대화하는 법도 알게되었습니다.

이런 기회를 만들어주신 선생님들께 정말 감사하다고 생각합니다.

그래서 먼저 멘티의 실력을 객관적으로 파악하기 위해 진단 문제를 제작해 함께 분석했습니다. 이를 바탕으로 매주 회의를 열어 수업 방향을 조율하고 역할을 나누었습니다. 저는 개념 정리와 기본 문제를 담당하고, 파트너는 응용 문제 풀이와 오답 피드백을 맡는 방식으로 각자의 강점을 살렸습니다. 수업 과정에서도 서로 진행 상황을 꾸준히 공유하며 필요한 부분을 바로 수정해 나갔고, 이러한 협력이 자연스럽게 수업의 완성도를 높여 주었습니다.

그 결과 멘티의 성적이 10점 이상 오르는 의미 있는 성과를 얻을 수 있었습니다. 이 경험을 통해 협업은 단순히 의견을 맞추는 것이 아니라, 서로의 관점을 근거 있게 조율하며 더 나은 방향을 함께 찾아가는 과정이라는 것을 깨달았습니다.

에도 참여하였습니다. 저는 원래 참여할 계획이었지만 선생님께서 동아리 학생들을 모두 다 참여시키시는게 대단하다고 느꼈습니다. 그 대회에서는 ppt를 만들고 영어문장들을 전부 외워 안보고 말하는것이 중점이라고 생각하여 많이 연습했지만 나름 만족했지만 객관적으론 발표의 자연스러움이 조금 부족했던것 같습니다. 본선진출에 실패하고 실망했지만 이것도 좋은 경험이라고 생각하고 다음엔 더 발전된 모습이 되겠습니다. 지난 1년동안을 되돌아보니 꽤 많은 활동을 한 것 같습니다. 멘토멘티 동아리를 한마디로 말하자면 노력없이 편하게 얻을 수는 없는 성과라고 하겠습니다. 그만큼 노력한다면 뒤따라오는 결과처럼 저에게는 긍정적인 시간들이었습니다. 그동안 감사했습니다.😁

멘토 모집 방법:전단지 부착,직접 홍보

멘토멘티 활동을 하면서 누군가에게 내가 알고 있는걸 가르쳐주면서 수업을 하니까 선생님이 된것 같았고 뿌듯하고 재미있었다. 그리고 가르쳐주면서 나도 복습이 된 것 같았다. 좋은 경험이었다

멘티가 많다 보니 한 가지 방식으로는 모두를 챙기기 어려웠습니다. 그래서 매주 어떤 단원을 어려워하는지 친구들의 의견을 듣고, 그 내용을 바탕으로 활동 방식을 조금씩 조정했습니다. 어떤 주에는 기본 개념을 집중적으로 잡아주었고, 또 어떤 주에는 문제를 같이 풀며 사고 과정을 설명하는 데 시간을 많이 썼습니다. 필요하면 개별적으로 질문을 받는 시간을 추가로 마련해, 가능한 한 모두가 따라올 수 있도록 노력했습니다.

1년 동안 이 활동을 하면서 가장 크게 느낀 점은 ‘가르치는 사람도 계속 배우는 사람’이라는 사실이었습니다. 처음에는 단순히 수학 설명을 잘하면 된다고 생각했지만, 점점 멘티들의 표정이나 반응을 보며 속도를 조절하는 법, 말하는 방식을 바꾸는 법처럼 사람을 보는 능력이 훨씬 더 중요하다는 걸 알게 됐습니다. 많은 학생을 상대하다 보니 책임감도 자연스럽게 커졌고, 수업을 준비하는 과정에서 저 역시 수학 개념을 다시 다잡을 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되었습니다.

무엇보다 멘티들이 “이제 이 단원은 조금 감이 잡혀!”라고 말할 때마다 활동의 의미를 다시 느꼈습니다. 처음보다 훨씬 여유 있게 설명할 수 있는 제 모습을 보며, 이 1년이 저에게도 큰 변화의 시간이었다고 확신하게 되었습니다

알려드리는 방식으로 수업하였습니다. 또 멘티 인원이 적을때는 옆에서 직접 가르쳐 주는 방식으로 하였습니다.1년동안의 활동을 통해 멘티들에게 조금이라도 더 알려주고픈 마음과 필수문제 등 상세히 가르쳐 주고싶은 마음에 노래로 간단하게 외우는법 등 저만의 방법을 만드는 과정을 통해 학습 습관이 꾸준해지는 결과와 멘토와 멘티 모두 성적이 상승하는 결과를 얻었을 때 큰 보람을 느꼈고, 이로써 더욱 성장하는 계기가 되었습니다.

멘토활동을 하면서 1시간동안 쉬지않고 가르쳐주시고 또 떠드는 친구들도 있고 집중을 안하는 친구까지 전부 케어하시면 알뜰히 챙겨주시는 선생님들이 정말 감사하고 존경스럽습니다. 다른 친구들에 비해 제겐 과분했지만 나름 재밌는 경험이였습니다. 제게 이런 기회를 주셔서 정말 감사합니다.

또한 작년과 달리 올해는 모르는 친구가 아니라 평소 알고 지내던 친구가 멘티로 참여해서, 내가 주로 알려주는 수학 과목을 더 편하게 설명해 줄 수 있어 좋았다. 간식도 다양하게 제공되어 2시간 동안 활동을 더 즐겁고 힘 있게 할 수 있었다.

멘티 친구의 말에 따르면, 수학을 해보고 싶은 마음은 있었지만 진도를 따라가기 어렵다고 느꼈다고 한다. 그래서 기초부터 차근차근 알려주었고, 알고 지내던 친구라서 그런지 중간중간 성장해 나가는 모습이 더욱 뿌듯하게 느껴졌다. 이후에는 중간고사에서 단순히 찍기만 하던 수준에서 기본 문제는 스스로 맞출 수 있을 정도로 실력이 올라서 정말 뜻깊었다.
