The Gardner and Soil - Paige and Kristian

One day a Gardner went out to get some soil for his plants. He got 4 brands of soil. The first soil he got was to clumpy and the seeds could not grow. The second soil he got was filled with pebbles and there was no space for the seeds to grow. The third soil he got was poisoned with chemicals and instantly killed the seeds. Finally the fourth soil was perfect, the seeds fell perfectly inside and grew quickly. Soon they came out to be beautiful flowers. The clumpy soil represents people who know about the kingdom of God but don't understand it. The rocky soil represents people who hear about it and understand it but do not accept it. The poisoned soil represents people who hear about the kingdom of God but are filled with sin. The last soil represents people who accept, understand, and know the kingdom of God, they are willing to spread it to others.

One day, he decided to turn his life around by saving his money and putting it in his bank account. He started splitting the money he made in quarters. He put in 2/4ths of the money in his bank account, 1/4th to charities and donations, and the rest to spend for necessities. Over the years, his account grew and grew, and he beat his spending habits, payed his way out of debt, and became a successful millionaire, living his life happily and financially free.

A very wealthy lawyer had a very good year of prophets. He helped with many cases and helped out a lot of people. The lawyer had so much money he didn't know what to do with it. He had to have multiple bank accounts to hold all of his money. The lawyer didn't like to share his money. He didn't even share it with his own wife and kids. He let his wife and kids make their own money. One day the man received a huge sum of money from a client. Instead of putting it in for his family he blew it all off on things like cars and other unneeded items for pleasure. One night the man went on a spending spree and blew all of his money. Later that day the man was put into a terrible car accident and was hospitalized. When the man passed he left his wife and kids with none of his wealth because he spent it all on himself.

There was a teacher that was sorting her class. She put the aces, good students who always got their work done, in the right of the room; and all of the troublemakers who never once got their work done on time on the left. Then the principal came in and said to the aces, " You guys will get extra recess for the next week, for your good behavior, leadership while volunteering with the younger grades, and willingness to help others on our service field trip." Then he turned to the trouble makers and said, "You will all have detention for the next month because of your bad behavior, lack of leadership with the younger kids, and laziness and completely ignoring the people we were meant to help on that field trip."

There were once 2 workers collecting their profits from their boss. The boss paid them both until a few days later when the first worker won the lottery and quit his job right there on the spot. However, the second worker stayed at his job, even working overtime some days to keep his boss happy. Sometime later, the first worker came back into the shop and tells his boss that he lost all his money, that he is sorry for everything he has done, and he needs his job back. However, the boss feels excitement that he gets to see his long-lost employee and he graciously gives his job back and he even gives the man two paydays into one. Filled with jealousy, the worker who stayed with the boss complains that it’s not fair how he gets his job back and gets money right away. The boss says to him, don’t be angry for all I have is yours, but we must celebrate how my employee has come back to us, he was lost and now he is found.

One day an NDCL student was walking through his neighborhood after school. Out of nowhere, a group of kids came by and proceeded to beat and rob him. He laid on the side of the street for a while, eventually he saw one of his teachers walk by. They made eye contact, but the teacher didn’t hesitate to cross the road. A few minutes went by before he saw a group of his classmates walk by who also didn’t help him and kept walking. Finally, a Lake Catholic Cougar came along in his car and stopped. He immediately ran out to help him. He picked him up and got him into his car. He drove the injured Lion to a nearby hospital and gave the secretary at the front desk all the money in his wallet. He then got out a check and gave it to the secretary blank, and told her that anything the NDCL student needed he’d pay for. Then the Cougar went to the store and picked up some snacks before returning to the hospital to be with his new friend.
