I feeeel like we should get to undertsand any factors and aspects in society before judging what people do. There may be certain cultures or religion that they follow that could be unusual or disturbing to us, and I think we shouldnt be so quick to jump to conclusions.

Challenge:
What more about society's tendencies are?
How are we all different even thought we are all human?
How are we able to see each ther in a way that would allow us not to judge the other person, but undertsand what drives them to do those things?

Connect: It's connected to what we have learnt in geography last year as we learnt about transport and homes etc. then and for this topic, we learnt about how different people perform different roles, which also contribute to the transportation and homes in a certain place.

Extend: Something that pushed my thinking in a different direction was the part on ethnocentrism and cultural relativism. It was interesting to "see into the minds" of how people come to conclusions about cultures and how different cultures affect their way of thinking.

Challenge: Something that I am curious about is how exactly the government affects society, as well as the relations between a government and its people, and so on. In this chapter, we didn't really talk much about it, although I know the government plays a rather pivotal role in a society. (But we'll be doing this in the next chapter so :D)

It seems fairer to judge a culture(or society, or person) by their own standards instead of yours, that way it's more impactful and unbiased.
Challenge: Relationship between the individual and society, the complexity of society and factors affecting it. Also, it's natural to become loyal towards one's affliated culture, so how fine is the line between loyalty and superiority?

Connect: It's connected to how we were taught about different roles of different people in the society and how the different cultures and ethnicity does not differentiate us from one another.

Extend: I thought about more things including why we actually discriminated against one another just because we were different in small matters, but were still same in general (we are all humans). However, we may think differently because of our differences and judge others based on our own standards, which poses as a problem.

Challenge: I wonder how we still manage to live in peace and harmony even though all these problems could threaten us and advance into much bigger problems (like war) and it's very hard to contain such problems within a small group. It's interesting, really, how we can get through all these regardless of the threats we are prone to.

Connect: The topic of P & S is closely connected to our everyday lives, considering how we are all living with people and within a society. From this topic, I learnt more about societal structures and norms, some of which is quite relatable as we know some of these norms and structures, having all probably observed them around us before. Also, this is also closely related to previous topics, considering how we were learning the more physical parts of society before, like transport and we are learning more about the people aspect of society now.

Extend: It made me think more about how people think and the relationships and even unspoken rules that form our society. It has also made me think more about how people with vastly different backgrounds interact and what are some effects of such interaction. It has also made me think about what may come out of it when different cultures meet.

Challenge: Something that is still quite puzzling and I would like to find out more about would be how different cultures view each other and what effects they had on each other. Mostly, I wonder about how we would go about addressing this broad topic.
