The philosophy that I have adopted and works for me is one that was shared with me from a black male teacher. This philosophy is to approach all black males with LOVE. They need it. They need to feel that they can put down their bravado and show their true self and be accepted for who they are. Only then will they be able to focus on their academics and furthering their personal goals.
