This was the first performance output about productivity tools where I made a tutorial on how to use the following apps to enhance the efficiency of my company (if I were to be in one). The first app that I made a tutorial about was canva, in this tutorial I showed how it could help the company create easy and simple designs even as a beginner, and explained the basic tools in canva. The second app was discord, explaining how it can help with communication among the company in a more organized way, and how to create servers and etc. The last app was Instagram, I showed how to create stories and posts so that the company could optimize advertising to a larger audience.

Blog Entry

The blog I chose was, A breakthrough in Women's Health: Blood Test for Early

Ovarian Cancer. I have always been a very paranoid person, thinking that each time my

period is late, or even going on for too long that something is wrong inside of my body. I

did some further research and saw ovarian cancer. Not being able to distinguish

between my menstrual cycle and cancer has made me more paranoid than ever. This

always made me hope that there was a way to be able to detect ovarian cancer even in

the early stages. This is why I picked this blog, because it spreads awareness and

shows how to be able to detect ovarian cancer, even in the early stages.

The blog A breakthrough in Women's Health: Blood Test for Early Ovarian

Cancer, talks about how ovarian cancer also known as the “silent killer” is easily

mistaken as minor health issues, or menstrual cycles. The blog mentions that

researchers at AOA Dx may have found a solution by using blood tests that can detect

ovarian cancers at earlier stages. This breakthrough could significantly help all women

around the world whether they have ovarian cancer or not. It shows the accuracy of the

test results, implications, and real-life examples of people that could get ovarian cancer.

As a woman, it's scary to think that the pain during my menstrual cycle could

either be cancer or just minor health issues that I don't have to worry about. I also

learned that ovarian cancer usually gets diagnosed in the advanced stages where

treatment is less efective. Making it the fifth most common cancer death among women

worldwide. This is why I think it's amazing that this blog is trying to spread awareness

that blood tests could detect early stages of ovarian cancer, prevent death, invasive

surgical procedures and more with high accuracy.

In conclusion, I think that it's amazing that this blog looked into something that is

not really talked about and not only spread awareness about ovarian cancer but also

showed that solution to it. This information could possibly be life changing for some

people who have been feeling unwell during their menstrual cycle and want to check

what it is. It also inspired me to take action as a STEM student to not only pay attention

to the technological field in STEM but to also pay attention to the biological side of STEM

and take a step back to look and research about other people's problems. It also

challenges me to find ways on how every woman could potentially get blood tests as a

free medical health care, such as donating, or posting more about it for other people to

see.

Reflection

I have always disliked using gadgets or technology because there was always too much information and I would end up not knowing how to use it. However, empowerment technology class (E-tech) has helped and changed my view on technology. I started to learn different ways on how I could intake information such as YouTube tutorials, online courses, digital libraries, and etc. This helped in encouraging myself to keep trying to understand and use technology as I now had different ways to learn. E-tech has also introduced a variety of tools such as zoom, canva or even common things like instagram as something that can be beneficial in work/school spaces. I also learned how to better identify fake news or rumors while studying about e-tech.

A way that I could use what I learned in E-tech is by downloading the tools I learned about, and applying them to my life. An example of this would be the track fitness diet app. Since I need to eat more, the app will keep track of how many calories I need to eat in a day, and what activities I need to do to keep myself in shape. This helps me become more organized as a person and take better care of myself using technology. Additionally, I learned that advertising things online boosts your sales depending on the strategies and tactics you use. Studying E-tech I also learned that I could contribute to the well being of our earth and its people, simply by posting and spreading awareness about the issues or even donating to campaigns online.

In conclusion, this subject has helped me overcome my challenges with technology slowly. It helped me find my own pace of understanding, and even encouraged me to talk and post about the problems that the Philippines is facing.
