Theme: Recap of everything
Response: Possible counter argument, the nesha call is the real reason but they timing doesn't make sense for adnan and the time 23:00. Theres a lot of things that dont make sense to them because many off the evidence doensn't add up like who has the phone, the possibility of the neisha call, and many other things. They go back to the motive and say that he maybe does lose it and killed her, but no one close to adnan saw this in him to do it. Both jay and adnan's friends say they they aren't killers but adnan was still the one to be put on a life sentence while Jay get left with a slap on the wrist even though he was just as involved in the murder as Adnan was.

Theme: Adnan's Behavior
Response: Throughout the episode, they talk about the rumors surrounding Adnan and how he was as a kid. Some show how he was a bad kid as he stole for the mosque and has even caught, and all his sweetness is just for sweettalk. Others say that they he was always a nice kid, he seemed nice, his sweetness was nice and was something he used to cheer people up. A phycological person tells about the things that may have seemed innocent but on the inside, they are plotting or could have been able to do it due to specific circumstances. Basically that Adnan may seem innocent on the outside, but its just a facade and is like a con-man and just seems to be nice to Sarah to use her in some way. He could be a psychopath or something.

Theme: Problems with the defense
Response: Throughout the episode, it talks about the problems about the case and defense. At first, it talks about the racism that seemed to exist through the case and that it could have played a role in the case as a whole. in the other part of the case, it talks about how Kristina fumbled some of the parts, like the parts of trying to show how jay lied and the inconsistencies of the states timeline. Then she stumbled on the magic info about the prosecutor provided jay his lawyer. This could have used this info to turn the whole case around by making the state look like they wanted jay to lie, but in the end the magic info wasn't used to its potential. Then finally, she seemed to demand lots of money and even some weird money request like 10k in cash and how she was sick.

Theme: Missing parts of the story
Response: Throughout the podcast, they dive into the case again and the parts of the story that don't make sense, mostly jay's inconsistency when he talked about the case. They brought a detective and said that the case seemed fine but he doesn't believe jay and that there are things that don't add up. They went to jay's house to interview and asked for one after and never got it. it seemed that jay never wanted to talk about it again. When Sarah asked people close to Jay about the case, there stories weren't to close and were a bit different. and now in the end, why didn't adnan defend himself, it doesn't make sense.

Theme: Why Adnan is Guilty
Response: Throughout the episode, She talks and brings up points on the case the shows that adnan was guilty or show suspicion on it. One of them was the Nisha call, I think that is what its called. This call was crucial in the case because it correlated with the story and was the prosecutions biggest point of Adnan's guilt. The only semi problem with it is that she says that Jay and adnan were going to the store that Jay worked at, but jay never started working there till the end of the month. Another piece was that girls story of how suspicious the two were attacking. She kept stating how the didn't act normal and Jay seemed weird and how Adnan was on the phone with someone about how he will talk to them an what will he say.

Theme: The possibility of the route
Response: In this episode, Sarah and one of her friends go out and test how likely it was to kill Hae it the 21 minute time frame given. The tested out the theory and got it with 17 minutes so it seemed possible, and so did some of the other information about the route. There were still somethings that didn't match like his possibility of getting back to school on time, the cell tower data not matching the location of Jay, or how it took double the time that Jay said to go somewhere. There were somethings that were right and some that were wrong, but still, the murder was long ago and its hard to tell what exactly happened and at what time.

Theme: Jay's Suspicious inconsistencies
Response: throughout the episode, Jays story would change almost every time he went to the investigation room. First he would make a story saying he saw Adnan kill her, then he would saw oh no I actually didn't, then say oh he actually did and its a fact, then finally say nah I never saw it. He would change the locations they went, the things that happened while they were doing it, even where he helped bury it and when she was killed. Everything about his story seemed so off, but it was still used. I feel like him lying once even twice should have been enough, but since he was their main source of info they just couldn't let him go.

Theme: Implication of another suspect
Response: For basically the whole podcast, They talk about another suspect who could have possibly done it. Mr.S seemed suspicious when questioned about why he went so far back. Another thing is how he spotted the body, many people couldn't even find it when looking but he was able to see it almost immediately without meaning to. Lastly, his story seemed to have some wholes in it that made his suspicious and a suspect to the cops. In the end, he was let go and wasn't brought back up.

Theme: Adnan Relationship
Response: For more that half the podcast on episode two, it talks about their relationship and how his girlfriend felt about them and how they communicated. It talks about how she kept a journal and how much she cared and loved him. It talks about some events like how they met and how mad they got with each other. when they broke up, people say he acted like anyone else would after a breakup which helped his case on why he was innocent. Their were incidents like his parents figuring out and Don that may have started ill feeling toward her, but other than his two statements about asking for a ride, their really isn't to many red flags that say he is guilty.

Theme: Ineffective Council
Response: I say this because I feel like most of the episode talks about,
1. the lack of evidence, They really didn't have much evidence like fingerprints, DNA, or anything as hard evidence against him

2. his attorney seemed to sell the case, They seemed to sell it to get the money for the case and they didn't seem to bother finding or using witnesses to help Adnan win the case

3. the court didn't have much to go off of other than his friend jay's word on the case that made this whole case ineffective and a horrible case overall.
