My collegues and I we tried to support her incorporation in the class team but her mother din't help in this direction, so we decide to call the parents in a meeting at school. We soon understood that their culture was very different from ours about the education of a girl. The father was more open minded person and support our educational plan. In fact he was invited to visit the class and give informations about their life in Sudan. The whole think proved to be very interesting for all the class and the girl seemed to be very proud about the presence of her father.

The situation of newly arrived migrants Iam a Kindergarten teacher in the center of Thessaloniki Greece and I have seen many newly arrived immigrants on the road. The main feature is that they are moving people from one country to another and they want to leave Greece. I have met in some classrooms some Syrian children of preschool age that are very clever and are incorporated in the classroom. The teachers feel very unconfortable because they don't know what to do. But the love and care make the children feel secure and safe

Apart from the political issue the educational frame seem to be the most important after the every day life problems that face the immogrants. Unfortunately, this does'nt happens. So, the school has the crucial role to develop the critical thinking of the children to understand what is fake and what is true. This would support the development of their relationships with the migrants and remove the xenophobia. One crucial think is the presentation of small tv news for the migrants and the development of the conversation about the emotions they provoke.

2.5 Developing empathy & open-mindednessThis activity reminds me another one I did with the children in the kindergarten. During a project about the empathy and reading the emotions all the children had the same amount of cards in which all the emotions were symbolically represented by small faces (happiness, anger, saddness etc.). When a photo was shown or a statement was announced the children were raising up the card wich declared their emotions. At the end a conversion among them was helpful for me to understant their emotions about other people or situations.

2.4 Creating a sense of belonging and identity in your class and schoolI believe that the most appropriate approach for creating a sense of belonging and indentity are the projects, such as 'my family'. The children could have the oppurtinity to communicate each other the experiences they leave in their families. They will feel proud for their families, because they could show photos to the other children. Also, they will understand the different habits and every day life style of other cultures. In these ways they could understant that there are more things that unite them than those that seperate them. I have implemented such project with unexpected positive results.
