This toolkit serves as a starting point for planning events, recruiting members, strengthening chapter structures, and creating meaningful experiences for AEs.

An updated version will be uploaded in Fall 2026 with refreshed resources and materials.

The NEA AE CREATE Grants provide funding opportunities for chapters to strengthen their programs, increase engagement, and build partnerships. Grants of up to $2,000 support projects focused on NEA Aspiring Educators’ core values, including educator quality, community engagement, political action, and racial and social justice.

Submission deadlines occur twice each year - March 15 and October 15.  For assistance with grant applications, contact Blake West (bwest@nea.org).
