Worksite wellness is not only an important concept but a lifestyle choice that is adapted in the workplace. Worksite wellness should support the employees of the business while maintaining the company’s mission, purpose, and goals to create leadership support and sustainability. Displaying care towards employee well-being while developing a culture of health in the workplace exemplifies healthy habits with continuous support. Incentives and fun ideas can help captivate the participation of employees, which produces healthier habits and healthier employees. Employees spend the majority of their time at work; incorporating healthier activities and support leads to more productive employees with improved job satisfaction.

I am interested in well-being in work, culture of health, and programming. I personally love my job being a supervisor in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. I have always thought of creating programs for patients: walks/support groups for patients, prevention classes for athletes or young children, and a better wellness program for employees. Right now, the employees in my clinic work so hard, sometimes during lunch to see patients, due to rules from higher management. I am interested in seeing how to improve the wellbeing at work and if we can have better support from leadership in creating a less stressful environment.
