Dearest Issa,

Super thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your life with us. Your trust, your belief in the power of research, and most of all, your belief in people have left a lasting mark on all of us. You taught us to look beyond the numbers—to care deeply, to do our best, because at the heart of everything we do is the customer, is people.

You cared so much, not just for Globe, but for the Philippines. A true leader with a vision, you showed us how important it is to work with purpose. I still remember our futures thinking workshop so many years ago—seven, maybe eight? (Sorry, my memory’s a bit like Dory’s! 🤭) But I’ll never forget how much it meant to you that we always worked with meaning and heart.

Thank you for letting me sit beside you during one of your sessions in Singapore

(for once kahilera ko si Peter Bithos! Hehehe!) Our conversation was all heart, and dami natin plan gawin…I will never forget that rainy day. Priceless.

And oh your Yayoi bag, your everyday bag in SG —I’ll never forget how you said it was more precious than any Chanel or Hermès, not just because it was useful, but because of what it stood for. The words on it, “Life is the heart of a rainbow,” feel so right. Issa, you are the heart of our rainbow.

You used to tell me I was one of your angels here on earth. Now, Issa, you are one of our angels in Heaven. Thank you for everything, dearest Issa. Love you always. Rest peacefully in God’s arms.
