One thing that I really liked about this reading was at the end when it mentions the end image of the student becoming a functioning adult.I liked how the list was very specific. However, I do feel that it needs to be updated. One thing that wasn’t mentioned on the list that I think would be very beneficial would be for the student to have an in depth knowledge of technology literacy. Technology is being more and more involved with our daily lives, so I think that it is important for us to create adults who have the skills to use it efficiently.

I think that this case served justice for all low-income districts. I personally went to school in a low income area and I understand the struggles that these school districts can face.  It seemed like we were always the last county to get smart boards, commuters and chrome books. First, I agree that "that neither school districts nor counties have any constitutional right to equal funding" due to the fact that each state has a different student population with different needs and their local economies all differ; ensuring each state got equal funding is nearly impossible AND I don't see funding as the make or break contributor to an adequate education. Additionally, O agree that students/children have the constitutional right to a sound basic education; without it our society would be full of uneducated citizens. Some states spend up to 15,000$ annually on the average students, while others spend 6,000$.
