This book is very classic how a family member goes missing and they think that he/she is dead, but in the back of their mind there is hop[e that they are still alive. However the graphic violence and language that they use in this book is similar to Part Time Indian in a way. Both of these books are taking me out of my comfort zone a little bit. Also the book review was good at hinting what the ending would be, but not totally giving it away. 
This quote also relates to the life of some humans today and some in the past. In many cities things like this may happen where a person commits a crime and the runs away to not get caught. In addition it relates to the violence of the outside world during a time of war or crisis. The violence is in fact a very important part in the book. Another thing that the review does well is explain the setting of the story very well. The setting is set in Spain during the year of 1977. This is crucial to understanding the book because of the military and political issues that Spain faced at this time. I also feel like the review was good at highlighting the plot of the story which is Mosca trying to find her long lost brother. - The story has many Spanish terms in it because of the author and the setting the story takes place. With me taking Spanish this year, I was able to understand a majority if the Spanish use in the book.
- The author of the book did not shy away from using the language that the main characters would have used at that time possibly. I have never read a book with this much cursing or swearing in it.
