The democratic nature of the Russian state is also reflected in the fact that its citizens are equal and have broad rights and freedoms, including the right to participate in the management of state affairs. The Russian state has established the electability of legislative bodies and representative bodies of local self-government, a number of senior officials - the President of the Russian Federation, heads of regional and local administration, etc.
In turn, the distinctive features of the Anglo-Saxon legal system, the domination of precedent among all other sources of law, the predominance of issues of procedural law over substantive law issues, the lack of clear sectoral division of the legal system, not the severity of separation rule of law (due to the absorption of the latter first). The content of the law is complex and quirky. In the countries of the Anglo-Saxon legal family, judicial precedent is the main source of law, although the role of acts of statutory law is increasing. A significant place among the sources of law is also occupied by the legal doctrine. There is a hierarchy of precedents, according to which decisions made by higher courts (for example, the House of Lords in the UK) are binding in lower courts.

In Great Britain, there is no single written constitutional act regulating those relations that are usually regulated by constitutions, namely: the foundations of the social system, the constitutional and legal status of the individual, the system, the procedure for the formation and powers of public authorities. However, there is a historically formed system of norms that regulate these relations in a complex, and quite effectively. They are called, with some degree of convention, the Constitution of Great Britain, although these norms are contained in different sources of law. The Constitution of Great Britain is unwritten not because there are no constitutional norms fixed on paper, parchment, papyrus or other media (after all, statutes and precedents exist in writing), but because it is not clearly stated anywhere which norms are considered constitutional and which are not. However, there is a certain generally accepted set of sources of law, which together make up the Constitution of Great Britain.
