After all this work and how strong Odysseus has been he should be named an epic hero. He never once gave up in the process and learned from his mistakes. Odysseus showed bravery, intelligence, and courage. When he was faced with the Cyclops he told him that "My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends, everyone calls me Nohbdy." He was showing Intelligence by not telling him his real name. He also showed intellagence when he "So three sheep could convey each man. I took the woolliest ram, the choicest of the flock, and hung myself under his kinky belly" (Homer 379-384) He showed bravery when he was "trying to put heart into them,... Friends, have we never been in danger before this? More fearsome, is it now, than when the Cyclops penned us in his cave?... Did I not keep my nerve, and use my wits to find a way out for us?" ( Homer 763-770) After giving this long speech his crew had the bravery to pass Scylla and Charybdis.
He showed courage when he was with the Suitors. "Odysseus only shook his head, containing
thoughts of bloody work, as he walked on," ( Homer 1232-1335)
He could of killed them all right then and there but he had enough courage to make a plan.
