The beautiful buildings you see right now (green building image cycle) are not for show, they are something that eliminate the negative effects from a from a normal building, they don't contribute towards global warming, and are built with non-toxic building materials, they recycle water, electricity and many other things making it a self sustainable building, while giving positive impacts towards workplace and the environment.

Our SDG #11 Focus on Sustainable cities and communities, but what does it mean by that? Sustainable communities are environmentally sustainable and clean and energy efficient. With the war in Ukraine prices and bills in the UK have increased, leaving people who wish to buy or rent houses with financial trouble. Green buildings are connected to this topic as the usage of green buildings over time can reduce bill prices making it more open for those who wish to live or rent in an expensive city.

Global warming can affect seasons and natural disaster in an area creating more frequent floods, heavy storms etc in can also increase the temperatures this can decrease monthly/yearly harvest from crops and farms affecting us along the way.

Climate change is caused by green house gasses its made up of carbon dioxide, methane , nitrous oxide, and ozone. They are essential in keeping the earth warm and from turning it in to a cold planet unable to support life, they trap and redirect heat back towards the earth. when fossil fuels are burned they release a big amount of C02 ( carbon dioxide ) with increased greenhouse gasses its harder for heat to exit the atmosphere leading to global warming which is the rapid heating up of earth, which can lead to complex changes in climate, increase heat making it more difficult for life on earth to thrive, affecting us at the same time creating difficult environments for cities towns and villages to live in.

Problems when it comes to creating green buildings their are many obstacles such as finding experts, architects and engineers who have experience and knowledge within this difficult field. the cost of non-toxic and environmental friendly materials comes at a hefty price. The cost to create a green building is around 32% higher than a building roughly the same size.
As disadvantages exist towards who has access to the resources and money. to create and supply the construction towards the buildings. Each green building is built to be unique on its own they have there own ways of recycling and different tech thats more expensive.

The answer should be a no the idea of tearing down pre existing buildings and creating new buildings just to be eco friendly. Julie Greenwalt a Urban and climate change specialist believes that this process would be "wasteful and expensive."
She believes that instead new buildings that are being developed or created should be focused to fit the description as a green building, a non-toxic and a positive eco friendly building. and renovation and upgrades towards existing buildings should be added to help lower Co2 emissions in cities and towns
