song (thousand years) by Christina Perri

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtOvBOTyX00

" A thousand years " is a song that has Important values such as love and compassion. This is portrayed by the particular lyrics that are sung, for example " don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more" this is relevant to society because God have loved every one for more than a thousand years and he will keep loving you for a thousand more. Another example of love is "How can I love when I'm afraid to fall" because of how so many people don't believe in and are afraid to believe in God because they are afraid that there will be nothing to find.

I believe that " A thousand years is spiritual for me because of how gentle it is and how it helps me think. This song is a very good meditation song, meditation is a time when you can forget about your troubles and use the time to turn to God and pray in internal silence.

The artwork that I chose can nurtures the spirituality of the world because of its colours. The colours of this painting signify new life or growth, which will help the mind relax and to see a life within a life. looking at this art makes people wonder about where it is and who is there.

When i see the art i see autumn trees, and leaves falling from the trees. and theres a girl walking through the rows of trees. When i see the girl i see me walking along an autumn lane with all the leaves around me.

Corinthians 13-12
For now we see a reflection as in a mirror; Then we will see face to face.

The passage refers to seeing God in a mirror, as God is in each of us and when we look into the mirror we see ourselves, and a piece of God embedded in each of us. It also tells us that although it is just a mirror today some day we will pass through the mirror and see God face to face.

This passage nurtures my spirituality because to read this passage makes me think about the mirror and how it is telling me not to be afraid to pass through the mirror to the side of death when my time comes to pass.

In Buddhism they practice meditation as it is cleansing for the mind and body. It nurtures the worlds spirituality because it connects with the heart, body and mind. Meditation makes it easier to talk and pray to God and to just relax the mind. In Buddhism meditation connects them with their God and helps them develop in site into their God.

For me meditation isn't a way to connect with God but rather a way for me to reflect on my day/week. Meditation lets me think back and remember the mistakes i made so that i can fix them and see problems in a different way

It also tells the earth that they will see the pilot being God face to face when they cross the bar to the other side. For now though the world must live and follow the flood.

to me this prayer is talking about the war saying that those soldiers who risked their life in the war that they will be remembered far. It also to me is saying that for those lost in the suicide bombings that they will see that pilots face when they have crossed the bar.

mass analysis

The purpose catholic mass is to connect yourself with and pray to a higher being. Praying to a higher being cleanses the mind, body and spirit from all sin and God will forgive you. A part of one of these masses is the introductory rites. In the introductory rites the bit I most appreciate is acknowledgment of country, because it shows and signifies respect to all those who walked this earth before us. Personally acknowledging country is a very important task so that myself and other alike to forget what those people did so we can be where we are today. Another part of the mass is the liturgy of the word in the Liturgy of the Word, the priest/congregation typically doesPsalm reading. The significance of a Psalm reading is the link between the old and the new testament. I find that I connect to this part because they are always stories with a really good moral meaning. During the Liturgy of the Eucharist the congregation/priest does a prayer over offerings the blood and body of Christ. I feel particularly moved by this because of how a man so young gave up his life so we could live. To symbolise the end of the mass the priest starts the concluding rites. These serve the purpose of to bless and to tell everyone to go spared the good word of the lord. I feel connected with this part of the mass because it makes me feel renewed.Overall the Catholic Mass represents a time in which you can talk to your God and to help other to understand how lucky we are.For me the mass is not something I would go out of my day on a Sunday to go to but when I am able to go to the school mass I find it's the perfect time to reflect on life’s beauty reflect on my day.

I am not a religious person however I do have some kind of spirituality. The way I see spirituality in the world is preyer and reflection. But to me spirituality is not a preyer or a reflection but rather it is more of the science side of things. Also calmer I do believe that in this world if I do something to the universe it will send it back.
