Visitors can choose between the easy Little Wyandotte Cave tour (30–45 minutes) or the more strenuous Big Wyandotte Cave tour (2 hours, 1.5 miles), which includes formations like the 135-foot-tall "Monument Mountain".

It was found on September 6, 1883. You can visit the cave today. It has been a National Park since 1984. Some classmates were talking about the cave, and that led Orris and Blanche Hiestand to look around the cave. The cave was formed by acidic groundwater, dissolving limestone and creating passages and chambers. It was formed 1.2 million years ago. Animals like troglobites, blind crayfish, cave shrimp, springtails, isopods, millipedes, salamanders, cave crickets, cave spiders, flies, fungas gnats, bats, and white footed mice. It is one of the most decorated caves in Indiana. When you visit the cave, you can get tours of trails such as Dripstone Trail which covers one mile of the cave, or a shorter trail, Crystal Palace that is only 40 minutes.
