I want to thank you Evan for all the services and all the things you done and brought to SILC. I try my best but I feel like you are on a another level when it comes to inclusion and grace! I've seen rough patches but I always seen you handle it with upmost respect and to the best of your ability! Evan, I have hesitated a little to write this, because it is difficult to put into words how very much I respect & appreciate you, but I am going to try! I have seen from the sidelines how difficult the position of chair of SILC is; and from my seat in the peanut gallery and now as a member of SILC, I have watched as you never wavered, never stepped off the path, never once compromised your values, OR IL values, OR overarching PWD rights values, like you were born with the innate knowledge of our finest ideas in your bones. You are laser-focused on admin but kind as a lamb; churning the work out but always taking the time to be inclusive, respectful and completely transparent. I am grateful to have known you but feel like it was just MOMENTS! Congratulations for your excellent work as chair - what's next?
