In the 1700’s travel was very difficult there were few roads and little amounts of public transport, this meant many that worked were still around their birthplace and lived around that area, they couldn’t afford to move somewhere else. During that era, religion was very important and had major influence in the rural areas, it provided the structure and stability of the area and was largely used to bring people together. They divided themselves into districts called parishes, at the centre of each district was a church, the church was used for weddings, baptism, and funerals. In the rural areas, the place was very poor sanitated which led to a decline in health, medicine was very limited due to it being exclusive as well as medical knowledge, diseases that are easily treated today were considered deadly back then, food was very limited as well as people either had to grow their food or catch them and a shortage of crops could have major effect on individuals. Education was very hard to achieve back then as sending children to public or private schools costed a lot of money which many people were not on that social level.

1. The time to get to Australia from Britain was a longer time than America or anywhere else, it took approximately 2 months or more to travel to Australia whereas America was somewhere between 22 days.

2. Australia offered to people in Britain that they would pay for their tickets to come to the country, due to the challenge of many people in Britain being unemployed and broken, many did travel to Australia.

3. Due to the amount of people that travelled to Australia the children and adult death rate on the boat was huge, they were baked in heat or went through cold storms and because of how lengthy the journey was and how dangerous the sea was, it made it exhausting for many individuals and had a huge death toll when travelling that much of a distance.

Britain has been changed their way of how economics work and the social and cultural impacts on the country, Immigration in hand is one the reasons for the effect on Britain, they have been shown to have participated towards the labour market and have economic growth but at the cost of some people believing that they have put a strain on public services. Whilst the economy has multiple effects, social and cultural impacts have been shown to have greatly improved, with an increase in ethnic diversity, altering social structures and making people feel more comfortable with a sense of belonging.
