There tends to be sparse vegetation and the climate is usually hot and dry. However, although they are always arid, frigid deserts such as Antarctica exist as well</p><p><br></p><p>Average temp: 38 Celsius to -3.9 Celsius</p><p><br></p><p>Average Annual Precipitation: 25 cm/10 inches</p><p><br></p><p>Animal: Camel</p><p>Structure: Water-storing humps</p><p>Benefit: Allows Camels to go days without a water source</p><p><br></p><p>Plant: Desert Ironwood</p><p>Structure: fuzzy leaves with tiny hairs</p><p>Benefit: blocks wind movement and harmful sun rays</p><p><br></p><p>Invasive species: Sahara Mustard</p><p>-makes a canopy over native wildflowers and stunts the wildflowers’ germination</p><p>-limits growth and seed production of nearby plants </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

Estuaries and lands around them are places of transition from land to sea. </p><p>Favorite animal: Starry Flounder</p><p>pH Levels: 7.0 to 7.5</p><p>Invasive Species: Chinese mitten crabs are one of the most invasive species in estuaries.
