Rozenberg and Laperne

We think it would be amazing and a little bit scary that scientists can modify our memories because we couldn't tell what it's true and what it's not. Although, the good part it's that modifying memories can help with different issues, such as addiction, phobia, PTSD, etc. Also, it would be great that technological advances could find a way of saving our memories so that when we are older we can remember everything we experienced.

Victoria Notaro & Lola Salem

We think that this research about our memory can be used in good ways so in that way it´s positive, and it can make an improve in our lives, however, it can be dangerous too depending on how and for what you use it. Someone can always be helping others, although other people would want to use this information for their own benefit.

Enriquez and Pezman

Our opinion about this controversial topic is that we find it unethical and pretty terrifying, fearing it could someday be used in our brains against our will. However, there might be some cases in which this process could be extremely helpful. When talking about people with addictions, family trauma, abuse experiences, PTSD, and many other things worth forgetting, mind hacking could be used as a sort of treatment. Nevertheless, it seems impossible that something so powerful will be used only in the correct way, so we prefer it not even existing at all.

Humphreys, Marnetto and Peña

We think the points raised in the article could change a lot of aspects in the world right now, because it talks about manipulating the memories, and if this is true and it falls in bad hands it could be very dangerous for a lot of people, because they can be manipulated into believing in things that they didn't do. We also think that the discoveries are really helpful in the understanding of the human brain.

We also find fascinating how this experiment ascended from rodents, like mouses, to actual humans. This shows how quickly science can progress if the people work together with a common goal.

Our opinion is that memory is also a part of who we are as humans, and taking some part of it away, could changes us forever.
