I remember I told my mom I needed to start wearing them, because back then boys participated in this weird trend of snapping the girls' bras from behind. My guy classmate asked why I wasn't wearing one, and I had to explain my sando would suffice because it was too hot. Grade 3 kasi yun, tapos sinabihan ako ng tatay ko na kailangan ko na magsuot ng bra. Tapos bakit daw hindi ako nagiging conscious sa sarili ko. Dapat daw bilang babae na lumalaki na rin napapansin ko yung mga pagbabago sa katawan ko at nagsisimula nang gumawa ng adjustments. Nahiya ako sa sarili ko but at the same time nakaramdam ako ng galit na bakit ba ko pinakikialaman? Bakit concern ng mga lalaki yung katawan ko? Bakit ang unfair? (pramis sis, grade 3 tumakbo na yan sa isip ko). Wala kong nagawa kundi mag-adjust. And i reaally hated the experience di ko malimutan. Kating-kati ako sa straps tapos uncomfortable lang dahil 'di ako sanay. Minsan ang sakit pa nung wire (sa cup 'pag natanggal, sa lock banda sa likod, and yung pang-adjust ng strap 'pag nasandalan mo). Na-hasel din akong matutunan yung pagtanggal at pagsuot niya. Parang nababanat yung kamay ko sa likod ('di ko kasi abot likod ko dati nang dalawang kamay). Pero syempre, through time, katawan ko na yung nag-adjust.
