a professional is someone who has a job of high education and skill

but a professional can also be someone who earns money in the industry you don't have to be of a high skill level to be professional.

composition is just the act of making something of your own.

they should also have good leadership because the band may not beworking at the best of their ability and the producers might be a good leader and get tehm out or in their comfort zone so that the work in the best of their ability.

3)rick rubin - rick rubin is famous for working with red hot chilli peppers - some albums he produced is by the way ,stadium arcaduim, blood sex magik, californicatiotion and the dream canteen. rick rubin has good leadership listening skills, confident ,decisive, taste creating an open environment ,and has a clear vision early to show to the artists.

this radiohead performance is inspirational because of how the general performance went. it is a great performance from the band but what makes it stand out to me is how the entire performance had technical problems and the band were close to giving up the set but they still went through and delivered a great performance. none of their monitors worked and they couldnt hear what they were playing so they didnt even know if they were playing a good performance. and even though they were having so many problems but still went through with it is so inspiring because it shows the ambition and resilience you need to be a performer.

this live version of shepherd of fire by avenged seven fold is inspiring to me because the overall sound of this song will always inspire me and the and they have a good stage presence running around the stage and interacting with each other whilst playing the music and when the guitar solo hits they start standing next to each other creating a field of teamwork inside of the performance

some of my favourite bands and artists are weather day , radio head this band encouraged me to pick up guitar again - weezer , chilli peppers , avenged seven fold , bullet for my valentine but these bands/ artists definitely inspire ti me to keep practising playing and learning music to try and become a name in the music industry and hopefully inspire people just like how i have.

some of my favourite songs are below:

butterfly and weezer - paranoid android , body-snatchers , anyone can play guitar and the bends radio head - shepherd of fire avenged- hit the floor bullet for my valentine weatherday blood online, and pulka - i like these songs just for the general sounds and how the artists use their instruments create such memorable sounds /or chord progressions. and the harmonies and melodies of these songs just stay stuck in my mind for me to think about for most days.

and for gigs i have never been to a gig to watch a band or artist perform and probably just go and see anyone to get the experience of going to a gig so i can see how the artists perform so i can see the general idea on how to perform to a crowd. this is because getting tickets to see some bands are just way to expensive.

Jobs i would like to have inside the music industry is to become a composer and performer and i want to achieve these things because music is a place where it brings people from different backgrounds to the same place to create a community of people to connect and because i love playing and learning music.

i think i will achieve this by playing in bands and working with people and to college study to make sure i learn all i need to know about the music industry preparing me for the music industry work to allow me to make my own music and to perform it.

*what do I find intresersting about the guitar or its history

that it was mainly used in Spain and Egypt at first and how many forms it took on to get to the final form and that it was created because of other string instruments and how many genres the guitar can be used in is surprising swell allowing for its versatility allowing for so much unique sound to be created.

the band working together went well and playing on stage went quite well aswell only played up to the first chorus

could improve on timing I think just staying in time with the drummer a bit more.

paranoid android - this song uses the 4/4 time signature and in the middle section it uses 7/8 is some parts and has 2 distinctive bpms 82 is for majority of the song whilst in the slower section it uses 62 bpm. the intros chord progressions starts of with C minor, G/B, Bb, A, D minor, then repeats with D minor/C, Bb, F/A, G minor, F, and E major sus4, before resolving back to C minor I like this song because it uses 3 different keys throughout the song these keys change from the intro (g minor)to the middle section (am) of the the song then towards the outro the slower section (cm and dm). I like this because it creates a sense of development from a point of no hope almost because, as the song progresses it makes me feel like as if the writer is feeling becoming more closed in to himself not allowing anyone in and begins to lose all hope just like when the slow section starts slowing down the bpm and key changes halfway through the slow section chord progression from cm to dm it does 4 loops of this chord progression and each one ends on an A major which is the dominant of dm so it feels like it would go back to dm but instead goes to cm creating a sense of being misguided because it is going a whole step down from the tonic of A major being the dominant of dm and making the key cm again then this sense of being misguided then breaks out again and allowing for more feelings to enter. this just creates one circle of not allowing people into his safe space to not allowing them in to allowing them back in.

this song uses an acoustic guitar two electric guitars bass a keyboard vocals drums and synth to create this overall sound of being having no hope and being misguided to feeling like there is hope towards the end.

this song uses synths a distorted mellow electric guitar bass drums and vocals and this overall use of these instruments gives a sense of loyalty to a loved one not letting them go and in the verses shows this dedication by using lyrics to show all the sights that the writer has seen but still only wants to show their dedication and loyalty to this one person.

karma police wnet okay but the pianist was not playing correctly as they only just learned the first few chords of the verse before hand and they only used them chords throughout the whole song this made me get lost multiple times so for most of the song I was just figuring out what the pianist was playing so that I could just play them chords aswell making me play sloppy on my guitar part. this is good pratcite though is that is something that happens alot inside the music industry.

Shepard of fire was a good cover I'm pretty sure I went out of time quite a lot but overall was pretty good need a singer though and the tones of our guitars was pretty good I also played very sloppy here as I muted notes I should not have making it sound bad so i should go home and practice my parts making it less sloppy

   live performances -

   - there need to be clear entrances and exits so that the audience can quickly leave in case of a fire but also so that people can just get in and out without getting lost.

   - noise is important as you dont want the performance to be too loud as that can damage everyone's hearing and also because the vibrations

   - crowd managment also needs to be accounted for as having a too big of a crowd can cause people to have no space and there needs to be first aid kits in place in case of crowd surges.

   - metal detectors should also be put in place as there is risks of weapons being brought into the area.

   there are also alot of musical equipment high of the ground such s lighting rigs these things can get very hot also make sure that they are secure as if they fall they can hurt alot of people.

   there is going to be alot of equipment so we have to make sure it is all working and that we make sure visitors cannot access the equipment and if you have to manage the equipment make sure to get experts.

   • making sure that there are no trip hazards as there can be alot of wires tripping could be almost impossible not to do so in recording studios we need to make sure that all wires are managed properly.

   • hearing damage can be a big thing as you can be in such a confined place with loud instruments you need to make sure you are protecting your ears as musicians ears are quite important so making sure you protect your ear by using ear plugs is a must.

   • there can be alot of fire hazards due to all the wires and equipment be scattered around the area so you have to make sure that there is clear exits and make sure everything is maintained so a fire does not happen

   • you may have to lift alot of heavy equipment aswell so make sure when you are lifting equipment to ask for help and if it is really heavy equipment and you cant hold it for long to lift is small steps

   • in theatres you may want to have clear exits in case of fires because there are alot of people in a theatre. this is becuase there is a lot of wires and electronics so there is alot of fire hazards.

   • performers should warm up and cool down to prevent injury

   • electrical items should only be worked on when switched off

   • should do equipment checks to make sure that they are up to date.

   - in music festivals you may want to have clear exits in case of fires because there are alot of people in a theatre. this is because there is a lot of wires and electronics so there is alot of fire hazards.

- should prepare for the festival before to make sure all equipment is up to date and that it all works and make sure that you have the right equipment.

- should have first aid kits prepared as people may get hurt at the festival

for people travelling to the festival just make sure that they are prepared for it and that it is an okay environment to go to

   mental health.

   it is also to have good mental health whilst being a performer as being an artist can be tiring and lead to anxiety depression. so as perfromes we have to make sure we eat sleep okay. there is high mental health issue rates in this industry as the pressure of succeeding staying relevant and managing their careers often leading to burnout and stress. touring can also lead to alot of stress physical and emotional due to the stress of travelling and performing and also being away from family fro long periods of time.

   social media can also be very stressful as you need to keep up with promotion to try keep yourself relevant and there can also be alot of cyberbullying.

   artists like lewis capaldi and billie eleish have spoken up about these pressures

i was able to figure out how to use reverb and figuring out how to use wet and dry using the loop library and using and volumes using fade ins

the overall sound of the small track

could have used pan to make a better sound

we hoped to achieve to play the whole song in time

what i could do better the outro bad as i tried finishing too early my tone was a bit bad

i would do differently i would change the speed of which i am playing as i am playing too fast

i have learnt how to play in a band and to play roughly on time and learn hw to set our differnces aside in music and to play a song the singer wished to play. compared to the start where i struggled to play in group settings as i never have

this is good for my future as in the dutire i will have to play in bands where i wont want to play a song we are learning so this is good practice and learning to play in time.

we hoped to achive to play the full song of shepherd of fire which we did but overall to do one song

we could improve the solo and the outro as these were very sloppy

and i could work on my stage presence as sitting down and playing a metal song is not very good

i would change my stage presecne and stand up instead of sitting down

i have learnt how to play in a metal band and i got forced to try and do a guitar solo which is good as i am not good at them and it is good practice. compared to the start of the course where i was not confident trying to do solos even though i messes it up heavily it definitely rings my confidence up trying to do a solo which i only had a couple of hours to try and learn

this affects my future progression well as it i learnt a solo but i did mess up alot but trying to play at a fast rhythm is good practice and learning how to play in a band and to stay in time is good for my fututre
