You can’t climb back over the wall holding a baby.”

I like this part because it shows the caretaker was trying to figure out what was going on and that Jack is good at problem solving situations.

Mrs. Owens bent down to the baby and extended her arm. “Come now,” she said, warmly. “Come to Mama.”

I like this part because it shows that Mrs. Owens is caring and will keep the baby safe from Jack.

There were, all told, some ten thousand souls in the graveyard, but most of them slept deep, or took no interest in the night-to-night affairs of the place, and there were less than 3 hundred of them up there, in the amphitheater, in the moonlight.

I like this part because it shows that there are a lot of ghosts that are maybe willing to help the baby escape from Jack.

“ Times a’ ticking” says Mr . Dandy

I like this passage because it show how urgent it is to kill bod. This shows that there is a big reason that they want Bod dead. This means you that Jack has to get his job done fast .

“So?” He said “ It’s only death”. “I mean all of my best friends are dead.”

This passage shows how Bod hasn’t spent time with real living people because all of his friends are dead. It also shows that he doesn’t care if he is alive or dead.

“Look Silas it’s snowing” “It’s really snowing”

This shows that Bod isn’t really connected to the outside world because of the dead people always trying to keep him safe. Why else would he get that exited.
