“Healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can have.” – Winston Churchill

Kenya made great progress against several leading causes of death and disease. For example life expectancy has increased, infant and maternal mortality rates have declined and HIV deaths are down by half.

Good health is essential for sustainable development but there are many factors that make this difficult, for example economic situations, the climate, different diseases, poverty and inequality.

The healthcare in Kenya have improve dramatically. in the public health that i think is the most important. Public health is funded by the government. Medicines and medical supplies are provided by the government pharmaceutical chain KEMSA.

These centers treat people with simple ailments such as the common cold and flu, uncomplicated malaria, and mild skin conditions. Those patients with conditions that cannot be managed are transferred to hospitals or clinics.

A serious problem that is occurring is the lack of personnel, and the supplies they provide are not enough.
