https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342642793_AiArt_Towards_Artificial_Intelligence_Art

This article comes from 3 Chinese college students who wrote a report on the advancements of Ai artist programs as becoming a norm of art creation in the future in order to present it at The Twelfth International Conference on Advances in Multimedia in Lisbon, Portugal. The information was published in June 2022 but presented at the conference as well. The authors consist of three college students, two of them being from Tsinghua University and one of them from American International University Bangladesh. The publisher is Think Mind MMedia. The source is from Research Gate. The author’s credentials are of the universities shown above. The purpose of the information was to show the advancements in Artificial intelligence as they now have the capabilities of creating pieces of generated art at the The Twelfth International Conference on Advances in Multimedia. The perspective the author is trying to convey is the perspective of seeing the advancements happening in real time as well as an optimistic view of the future. The purpose is clear in showcasing the advancements and the inevitable future of AI generated pieces of art. The information presents the facts of the advancements Ai is making in the art scene as well as some opinion on what this might bring to the future. The point of view is impartial because the article is mostly built upon the presentation of the facts. This source is useful in providing the necessary information of the limits and expendability of the AI artists. It can help my project by providing information about the building up and evolution of AI. The information has been reviewed. I am able to verify the information in another source. This source is reliable because it was approved to be used in a large conference that relates to developments in multimedia. The article is by majority very objective. There are no biases in the article.

How could AI visual art generators replace human graphic designers while also making up for the loss of the human input of emotion and social experience?

Three studies that have informed me of the scholarly conversation of my topic is the study of the creativity that ai art generators inhibit, the Autonomy that art has on a creating pieces without human input, and the Moral of AI art being used to win art competitions

The gap in my research is how would the Ai art programs make up for the loss of he human essence that is put into the art

I will have multiple visual art pieces done by professional human artists as well as ai generators and will have people blindly compare the art pieces, meaning that the picture won’t be specified by who made it and they will have to explain the thoughts on the painting, how well it fits with the word that was told to base the picture off of, the emotions felt by the painting, and if there is something that is felt as missing.

I will be using human subjects

The proposed method is asking minors as well as adults with consent to express their thoughts on various art pieces in a survey online in which names will be concealed by numbers

I will use the AI art generators to test the ability they have to recognize words, phrases and people in order to test the perspective of the AI generator

I will use the data from testing the AI as stated above and the scholarly works will be used to show various examples of how Artificial intelligence has grown to point of being able to conceive artwork at a very proficient level in order to gain perspective in the research of the impact that this growth could have on the entire visual art industry as a whole.

Dall e 2 AI art generator, as well as surveys to showcase and gain insight on comparisons of the works

It could be quite difficult to gain participants since my projected form of data collection requires quite a lengthy survey

Scholarly article research in late fall semester and data collection using surveys and AI testing in early Spring Semester

This could help advertising firms gain a perspective on the huge following of AI art as well as affect the Art industries way of creating and perceiving art made by AI

They will be selected on the years of experience as an artist they have had and will lead to better perspective for how art is supposed to perceived.

There is no risk to taking in part of the survey

My research will benefit the general population because getting insight from a generation that will be in the next 10 years will be people in the workforce and possibly large parts of the art community as a way that AI art will impact the future and how society will perceive this change

I intend to protect the identity of the participants by giving the participants a number and categorizing them by style of visual art as well as gender and years of experience

Questions

-How many years of experience have you had creating visual art?

-What is your preferred method of creating your visual art and what it your style?

(Per Painting)

-Would you say this painting was made by a human or Artificial Intelligence?

-Based off of the topic the artist was to go off how would you say the artist expanded the topic that was given?

-Would you say that this painting has genuine creativity and illustrates a story behind the painting that you can think of?

(Would tell them now if the painting was AI or human made)

-What is your opinion now that this painting was made by AI/Humans?

-Do you feel like AI represents a unique creativity that doesn’t seem overly computed?

- Would AI art seem viable in creating creative visual art to make the art community appreciate art not being by human artists?

-Would you be biased on art made by AI in the future if it was of this quality and creativity?
