Town was evacuted there soon after. In 2002 the zip code was taken away. In 2013 the remaining stragglers (of the town) made a deal with the government to stay at the town. But due to it's location near a river it made it a flood hazard. Was a brief prisoner camp and rally point for the Confed's in the Civil War. Became a community for freed slaves after the war. Then the floods got too bad and the town was eventually deserted.
