         <description><![CDATA[<p>"Colored people don't like <em>Little Black Sambo</em>. Burn it. White people don't feel good about <em>Uncle Tom's Cabin.</em> Burn it. Someone's written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book. Serenity, Montag. Peace, Montag."-Beatty Pg.57</p><p><br></p><p>I thought this was an interesting take and helped me understand the reasoning that the people would use to burn the books. Originally I just thought society did it to hide knowledge which isn't proven false yet this makes sense as to why the people haven't revolted as a whole. </p><p>This also makes me really think and makes me begin to ask questions about Beatty's character, as in why he knows so many titles to books and why they might offend one's race. </p>]]></description>
