My Class

I currently work in a school that pushes for full inclusivity and have been able to witness first hand many of the benefits that come with implementing LRE.

In my future classroom I want to implement many of the same things that we've currently had success with.

Many of our students can find success in the general education classroom with modification to their required assignments and/or their course work. With students intermixed with their peers, they have been able to work at higher levels than they believed possible by being able to collaborate with students at all levels. This has also increased social interactions outside of the classroom and promoted self assurance and confidence.

I want to do a lot with group projects of mixed abilities. This way students can collaborate with different strengths, visions, and ideas. I also would love the opportunity to allow them to do assignments in a way that fits their needs and likes similar to the way we have been able to do assignments for this class.
