Summary:
Zeus is the King Of Gods who rules the Olympians of Mount Olympus as a father rules a family. He is also know as the God of sky and thunder. Zeus is the child of Cronus and Rhea, and is the youngest of his siblings. He is married to Hera, and also known to have many children with other women. He is given a thunderbolt as a gift.

Summary:
Hera is portrayed as majestic and solemn, often enthroned, and crowned, she usually is seen with a pomegranate in her hand. Hera is the wife of Zeus. She is known for her jealous and vengeful nature, most notably against Zeus's lovers and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her. She is function as the goddess of women and marriage. She presides over the right arrangements of marriage and is the archetype of the union in the marriage bed, but she is not notable as a mother.

Poseidon is the violent and ill-tempered god of the sea. One of the Twelve Olympians, he was also feared as the provoker of earthquakes and worshiped as the creator of the horse. A hot-blooded deity, Poseidon had many disputes with both gods and men, most famously with Athena and Odysseus.

Summarization:
Demeter is the goddess of the harvest and presides over grains and the fertility of the earth. Although she was most often referred to as the goddess of the harvest, she was also goddess of sacred law and the cycle of life and death. Her virgin daughter peresphone was abducted by the god of the underworld, hades, and Demeter endlessly searched for her, preoccupied with loss and grief. The seasons halted and living things stopped growing and died. At this point, zeus had to intervene and send his messenger hermes to the underworld to bring Persephone back and prevent the extinction of all life on Earth.

Summarization:
Ares was a Greek God of War. He was known for being a violent, destructive and merciless in battle, but a coward who cries in pain and runs away when wounded. His aggressiveness and unquenchable thirst of conflict made him unpopular among the Olympians and lead gods and goddesses to hate him.

Hephaestus was the god of fire, metalworking, stone masonry, forges and the art of sculpture. He had his own palace on Olympus where he made many clever inventions and automatons of metal to work for him. Hephaestus’s ugly appearance was the reason Zeus chose him to marry Aphrodite, but despite this she had many affairs with both gods and men.

Artemis is known as the goddess of the hunt and is one of the most respected of all the ancient greek deities. It is thought  that her name, and even the goddess herself, may even be pre-greek. She was the daughter of zeus, and she has a twin brother apollo.

Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of wine, winemaking, grape cultivation, fertility, ritual madness, theater, and religious ecstasy. His Roman name was Bacchus. He may have been worshiped as early as 1500-11000 BCE by Mycenean Greeks. As wine was a major part of ancient Greek culture, Dionysus was an important and popular figure in mythology. He was one of the twelve Olympians, although he was the last to arrive, and his unusual birth and upbringing marked him as an outsider.

Aphrodite is the Goddess of Love and Beauty and according to Hesiod’s theogony, she was born from the foam in the waters of Paphos, on the island of Cyprus. She supposedly arose from the foam when the Titan Cronus slew his father Uranus and threw his genitals into the sea.

Summarization:
Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War. She was known for protecting civilized life. Athena was also known most specifically for her strategic skills in warfare and portrayed as companion of heroes. She was a fierce and ruthless warrior.

Hermes was the God of Transitions and Boundaries. He was known as the messenger of the gods. He was considered as trickster where he would outwit the gods either for the good of humankind or for his own entertainment. Hermes was a patron and protector, not only of travelers and merchants but also thieves and rogues.
