Aside from the leaders involved, who are these "others" that we keep referring to that contribute to the bulk of the success in social justice? The leaders should be empowering individuals from all threads of underrepresented identities (race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, ability statuses, etc) while not dis-empowering in their process. Social justice leaders may not be at the forefront of every single underrepresented cause, but it is important that social justice leaders do not break down other minorities while uplifting their own group.

I therefore use my privilege to start the social justice conversations as a leader with a voice that will be heard, but I will not be the person to "finish the conversation" because the other group members of the cause who experience social inequities on a daily basis have the experience to speak for themselves.
