The power of nuclear weapons also became a significant point of tension between the United States and the USSR throughout the Cold War.<br><br>-Economic Effects <br><br>-The dropping of the bombs had devastating effects on Japan's economy since both Nagasaki and Hiroshima were important industrial towns.
