  • What did you plan? I planned by researching favorite characters from shows and musicians. I also took a picture of my cat, Syd, only using my phone, and sent it to myself to use in PS at school

  • How did it change? I thought I was going to use a picture of myself

  • What was a challenge? I intended to have a background and couldn't use that wasn't distracting.

  • What tools did you learn along the way? I learned about the Magic Wand A LOT!!! Also, the Magnetic Laso is pretty great when I changed the tolerance setting often.

    At first, I was going to make Zero (from The Nightmare Before Christmas) the main head of the body but later on, I made him a side character with another character from Tim Burton; Sparky (from Frankenweenie.)

    Matching Elsa's feet to fit Victor's legs.

  • What did you plan? I planned by thinking of memes that would be funny for me to make a literal character mashup of. I decided to go with the Jennifer Coolidge Minecraft movie meme and added Guy Fury to the mix just for fun.

  • How did it change? Originally I was just gonna have a mashup of a Minecraft ghast and Jennifer Coolidge but my friend inspired me to add guy Fury's hair.

  • What tools did you learn along the way? I learned a lot about layers and how you can erase parts of an image on one layer and have it not affect the layer under it.

    I looked up one of my favorite actors, Ryan Reynolds. Then I saw Cortlan using muscle arms so I looked up the strongest arms and shoulders I could find. Then, I paired it up with the opposite, a fat stomach. After, I did the random dinosaur legs and the alien hands.

    How did it change?

    I was going to add just abs and a normal strong stomach but then, I decided to change it up because it was funnier.

    What tools did you learn along the way?

    I learned to use the spot healing tool, blur tool, and the adjustment tool, and a lot of stuff about layers.

    • What did you plan? I didn't have a plan, so I just started finding random things that I could combine.

    • How did it change? I deleted some of some of the images which I thought didn't fit very well.

    • What was a challenge? A challenge was making everything seem like ti was a part of each other, rather than a bunch of random parts that were pasted onto each other.

    • What tools did you learn along the way? I learned more about the brush tool, using a clear brush to delete certain parts of each picture and using a brush color that was the same as the background.

  • How did it change? Originally I thought I would use Elizabeth's arms and dress, but it didn't fit right, so I ended up using Mr. Collins instead. I also thought I would use only photos from the 2005 movie, but I found an illustration from the book for Mr. Bingley's legs.

  • What tools did you use along the way? I used the erase tool a ton as well as the object select tool to make cropping and erasing easier. I also experimented more with layers to make it look the best I knew how.

  • I knew I wanted to do something with favorite characters of mine, so I narrowed down my options and then decided they'd all be from the same media (that being Bungo Stray Dogs)

  • I originally planned on using different images for the head and legs, but after I chose the torso, everything else kind of shifted to cater to it. Minus the head, that one is the outlier, it was one of the only large and decent quality images available.

  • Finding images that weren't small was pretty hard. Some of it came out a little blurry because I had to scale them all to the same size.

  • I learned how to use the smudge tool. I've used it before on other programs but never on PS, and it works a bit differently than I'm used to.

    then i cropped the members of wheezers heads and added them to the clay figure

  • What did you plan?

    I planned to use Bill Cipher, musical Beetlejuice, and Marty McFly. After trying to make Marty work, his pants wouldn't match up to Beetlejuice's torso so I scrapped him and used the sandworm from the Beetlejuice movie instead.

  • How did it change?

    I added fire, a belt, and a pig when I hadn't planned to. I also changed how I was going to position the characters and what parts I used.

  • What was a challenge?

    Having to get rid of the backgrounds and trying to get stuff to fit together. Finding photos that weren't pixelated and in the right pose was also hard.

  • What tools did you learn along the way? 

    I learned how to use the magic eraser, burn tool, and how to mesh different things together well.

    1. I started with a fall background and made it larger to fit the grid.

    2. I got a picture of a pumpkin body and erased everything but the head so my Halloween character had a pumpkin head.

    3. I got a scarecrow body and erased it so it would just be the legs and bottom of the stick.

    4. I got a skeleton body and just used the arms and torso by erasing the rest of the body.

    5. I cropped and moved everything together to make a basic Halloween character.
