a. Are the teaching strategies and practices good for the learning goals?

Yes. The lesson uses simple tools like paper clips and rulers, which are good for Grade 2 children. The activities help children touch, move, and talk, which helps them understand better. The teacher uses pictures, games, and group work, so it is easier for all children to learn. This helps reach the lesson goals.
Reference: https://www.simplypsychology.org/vygotsky.html

b. How do you know the 3 activities are:

Developmentally appropriate They are simple and hands-on. Children use real objects and talk about them. They work in pairs or small groups.

Differentiated Some children can draw instead of write. Some can guess before measuring. Children who finish early do an extra task.

Hands-on, minds-on Children touch, move, think, talk, and record their work.

Reference: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2023-01/EYLF-2022-V2.0.pdf

c. How does the stretch or challenge task help deeper learning?

The bonus task lets children who finish early measure something at home and draw it. This makes them think more and use learning in real life. It helps them go further and do their own work. It also makes them feel proud.
Reference:https://rutamaestra.santillana.com.co/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Classrooms-2nd-Edition-By-Carol-Ann-Tomlinson.pdf

d. How do the activities help meet the lesson goals?

Each activity matches the lesson goals:

Paper clips help students learn to measure.

Rulers teach them to use standard units.

The hunt helps compare and order items.

The talk time, worksheets, and games help them remember and use new words.

Reference:https://www.gla.ac.uk/t4/learningandteaching/files/PGCTHE/BlackandWiliam1998.pdf
