Dear Rona,
    How are you ? It’s been a long time since we last met. I’m writing to you to update you on what‘s been going on in my new school, CHIJ St Theresa’s Convent.

     Since I started secondary school, I’ve made many new friends who have lots of things in common with me. We hang out in a secret corner of the school to draw and talk about anime, which is great fun! (≧∇≦)


    Unfortunately, since there are more subjects taught in secondary school, I struggle with a few, and even have less time to rest due to the insane amount of homework I get every day. I’m sure you can relate. QwQ 


    Guess what, I ditched “that CCA” and decided to choose Guitar CCA in secondary school because as you would know, I detested the previous CCA in primary school. And loathed Madam S who made it a bigger nightmare. Plus, the adventurous me wanted to try something new!

        How have you been? I am Raju, do you remember me? Its been a long time since we chated. I am writing this letter to tell you abouty secondary school life.
        As I've told you last time that I was going to stc, I've made many new friends there, and I enjoy studying in stc as the teachers in that school are very caring and they try to make a peaceful enviroment for us to study well. Eventhough most teachers are caring, I still do not like some of my teachers.
         Life in secondary school is really fun as i get to meet more new friends, however the subjects that we study is more then what we had studied in primary school, so the subjects are new to me and i would not be able to understand some parts of the question. When i do not understand those questions i would ask my teacher for help and they would help me. Moreover, I got a pile of homework to do everyday as the number of subjects increased which will cause me to have less time to rest, and CCA last until 6pm which is quite late and it will make me have less time to do my homework.

Dear Charli, 

Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well in secondary school! I just wanted to catch up with you and tell you abit more on my life now in secondary school.
For me, secondary school has been rather fun and exciting for me this year! A term has already gone by and you cannot imagine the amount of fun i had that term! One positive thing that happened in my school life is that the teachers are so caring and helpful towards us. Whenever we need help, or need some advice, they are always willing to help us in times of need! 
One thing that happened to me this year that i do not like us the distance Im travelling to school . It takes me 45 minutes to come to school by car and another one hour to get back home! It’s a chore to me, but i have to go through it for four years. 
I’m really excited to know what your CCA is though, as i got in for my first choice! I chose netball, as it is a really fun sport to learn throughout this four years in my life! Netball also teaches us a lot of virtues, like teamwork, perseverance,and sportsmanship to cooperate and work with others well. This certainly is a blessing for me to be in a CCA i chose as my first choice! 
Now that you know what’s happening in my life, I want to hear yours too! Hope you write back soon!

Dear Chien Ying,
                        How are you coping in school? Are there any interesting events that happened lately?
                        As you already know, I am in STC and I have made a few good friends! I also enjoyed Orientation during the first few days of school. My seniors are very welcoming and made me feel like I belonged there. My teachers in STC are also very patient, encouraging and friendly. They also try their best to ensure that we can study in a conducive environment.
                        However, there are some incidents that happened to me that made me feel annoyed and frustrated. Firstly, some of my classmates have been gossiping about me which made me feel annoyed and frustrated. Secondly, the number of subjects that we are currently learning is too overwhelming for me to cope. Sometimes, it can get stressful as the teachers will give too much homework. There is also CCA which ends in the evening. Thus, there is lesser time for me to complete my homework in time, which makes me feel very frustrated.
                       Since we are talking about CCA, the CCA that I got into is dance. At first, I wasn’t very thrilled to get into dance, but after several CCA sessions, I realised that I really enjoyed dancing and I use it as a way to relief stress. Although, it wasn’t my desired CCA, I am glad I got into dance as I could have the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. What CCA did you get into?

Dear Chuubaka,

    How have you been? I hope you're doing well! We haven't met up ever since were both posted to different seconsary schools. That's why I wrote you this letter, as I wanted to ask you about your secondary school life! I'll share mine with you too!

    One positive thing that has happened in my school so far, is the friendliness of my classmates, senior and teachers! I was quite nervous on the first day of secondary school, but I warmed up to my assmates veru quickly! I was lost in school on my first day, but there were some seniors who noticed me and quickly guided me to my destination.

    One negative thing about secondary school is the workload compared to primary school. You thought primary school workload was already extremely challenging to handle? Secondary school's workload made it seem like a tiny nameless hill being compared to Mount Everest! It was quite tough at the start of the year, but I think I'm able to cope with it now!

    There are more CCA choices in secondary school compared to primary school! I was elated when I got chosen for drama! It was the CCA I really wanted to get into. I got to create fun skits with a few people in drama, and I was able to make a lot more friends! The seniors are really open and warm! It brightens up the atmosphere.

    All in all, I've had a lot of fun in secondary school! Tell me about your life in secondary school too!

How have you been? it's been a while since I last talked to you.

So far, I am glad that I have been posted to my current secondary school, as I have been able to make many good friends and meet many nice teachers. I'm so glad that my current teachers are making lessons fun compared to the teachers in primary school.

However, I have not been able to cope with my many subjects very well. I barely passed my WAs and got a lower than average percentage for majority of my subjects. Now I want to go back to primary school where everything was so relaxed!

What about your CCA? I managed to get into the CCA I've been most interested in joining, band! I thought it would be a better idea thanks to the wide variety of CCAs and it would be a good opportunity for me  to pick up a new skill besides continuing to learn how to sing.

I miss spending time with you in primary school, please make sure to take care of yourself!

I am glad to be in STC. In STC, I enjoy learning and making new friends. I made friends that I can talk to when I’m feeling down or when I need a listening ear.

However, I find it hard to cope with all my subjects as the number of subjects increased. So, there are more tests for us to study.

I chose guitar as my CCA as I enjoy playing musical instruments. I learned new skills in guitar and I enjoy spending time with my friends during CCA.

How're you? I hope you're fine. It's been a long time since I talked to you. The March holidays are over and it's a brand new start to Term 2. How were your March holidays? Mine was fine. I spent mine staying at home, as you probably know the current situation with the Covid-19. Its cases are rapidly increasing so you need to take care of yourself and maintain personal hygiene. I stayed at home, watched Netflix and munch on potato chips. What a boring way to spend your March holidays! How I wish I could go to shopping malls to meet up with my primary school friends. I really miss them. I also hope to meet up with you soon. If I had the ability to travel back in time, i would spend my March holidays more meaningfully, like revising for the topics in the next term. Oh no! I really like my Secondary school! I don’t regret getting posted here at all!! I am so happy to realise the fact that I have made new friends and met great people here.

How are you? I hope you are doing well and enjoying your secondary school.
I can't believe it has already been 3 months since we first started secondary school! Time flies!

How has secondary school been for you? So far my experience in secondary school has been enjoyable. I have great classmates and I have made some new friends here!

However, I find that I am struggling with some of the new subjects, such as History and Geography . I don't really understand the topics taught and I often feel stressed by the homework given.

I'll continue studying hard and revising my work and hopefully I will get better at these two subjects. 

I also joined Guitar as my CCA. I thought it will be pretty cool to learn the guitar and play songs that I like and so far I love my CCA and I'm able to play some simple songs!

There are much more subjects and it’s been quite difficult coping with all the homework and studying for my WAs. I barely passed my WA1, so I decided to study and revise during the March holidays and hopefully I will do better next time.

The CCA  that I have selected to take part in is netball. I chose this because I have  seen my friends from my old school go for netball competitions and it seemed really fun. I also feel that netball is a sport that not only allows me to become physically fit but also allows me to become a better person altogether through netball I can learn good virtues such as teamwork and perseverance.
