WHY DOES HE INSPIRE ME?

He inspires me because he wanted the black people to be treated the same way as whites are.

WHY DOES HE INFLUENCED ME?

He influenced me not to be rude to anyone and not judge anyone by their skin colour.

Quick facts:

1. He was president of the US during the civil war and he helped end slavery.

2. In 1858, he took part in a series of highly publicized debates with his opponent: Stephan A. Douglas, when he spoke out against slavery. People didn't like Abraham's idea to stop slavery so he lost the race against Douglas.

3. Abraham Lincoln was shot on Good Friday (April 14th, 1865) when he was watching a play (Our American Cousin) with his wife Mary Todd at Ford's Theater and the person that shot Abraham Lincoln was  John Wilkes. There is a picture of Abraham Lincoln below

This person is a motavational speaker for women and childrens rights for education. She inspires me because she is not afraid to speak up and to have a voice. It also makes it a lot harder because she grew up in Pakastan and women don't have  a lot of rights. Malala unfourtunately got shot in the head when she was 18 years old but very fourtunately recovered. After she recovered she said "A bullet cannot stop me." She was and still is a hero

for women and childrens education. She insires me because she the youngest person to receive the nobel peace prize. We (Malala and me) have some things in common because I beleive in her cause for childrens and womens education.

In 1969, he and his wife Yoko Ono invited press photographers to his bedside to witness their "bed-in" for world peace.During this, Lennon announced that he would not get out of bed until America withdrew from the Vietnam war. His strength to the anti-war movement and confirmed him as an artistic leader and folk hero.

Also, John Lennon has made multiple songs about Peace. For instance, John Lennon wrote "All You Need is Love," which became a worldwide anthem because of it's hopeful spirit. He also wrote "Imagine",

"Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)",

"Give Peace a Chance", and

"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)". 

I think he is inspiring, because he and his wife have participated and created in anti-war war events and and songs.

This man is inspirational because when he was a teen he had cancer in his leg. When he went to the hospital he saw people with much worse diseases than him, so he realized that he had to do something. So he got a leg surgery and got a replacement robotic leg. 

The thing that inspired me was that he felt so sorry, and sad for the people who had diseases so bad that they even couldn't go outside the hospital that he ran across canada, with his robotic leg to raise money for cancer research. His goal for the time he finished was 1 million $ (1 $ from each canadian), but by the time he died from another disease he raised more than 24.17 million $, and is still raising money, today for cancer research. 

The odds of surviving from cancer in the 1970s were: breast, 75%; prostate, 69%; lung, 13%; colorectal, 51%; and bladder, 74%. As of 2006, odds of surviving were: breast, 90%; prostate, 100%; lung, 16%; colorectal, 67%; and bladder, 81%. This dramatic increase was mostly due to Terry Fox and his 24 million + help in cancer research.

Helen was born on June 27 1880 in Tuscumbia ,Alabame,and died on June 1, 1968. When Helen was still 19 months old she was hit by a illness that made her blind and deaf.

 In 1887, Helen's teacher, Anne Sullivan, helped her make tremendous progress with her ability to communicate. Helen went on to college, graduating in 1904. In 1920, Keller helped found the ACLU.

Helen Keller inspired me because she participated in many charity events(and created). She also inspires me because she did not sit down and feel sorry for herself because she has disabilities. She traveled all around the world and helped other people who had disabilities. Doing these things showed that Helen Keller was not selfish, but truly a generous and caring woman. 

WHO IS HE?

This astronaut, is an astonishing figure for his deeds and actions. Chrishadfield has shared his experience like many other astronaut, but in a different way. This man had posted pictures on Twitter and Skyped people to share information.

WHY IS HE INSPIRING?

He is inspiring because of all his research he has shared and a big part of him inspiring is that he is Canadian too. Another reason is that, his songs. The songs about change he sang and wrote. All those inspiring words may think it came from a song but it didn't. It cam from him; his heart.

WHAT IS HE LIKE?

Chrishadfield is many things. Not only is he astronaut, but a very humorous guy. He is also kind and caring. For example just sharing his thoughts and sharing his knowings about space can just tell you. He is a nice man.

HOW DID HE BECOME INSPIRING?

I don't know a lot of stuff about inspiring people, but something I do know is "They didn't do it to get the attention." Most inspiring people didn't tell themselves, "I am going to be famous." His causes and what he has done, is what got him to the point which he is now. When he shared that first Tweet he didn't expect to do a puck drop. He never knew he was going to be on the news. And the only thing he did to get that much popularity; all he did was be himself. He didn't pretend to be anybody or act cool. He just did the thing he knew best; Being himself.

Who is he

Martin Luther King jr. was born on January 25th 1929 in Georgia, Atlanta, U.S.A and got murdered by James Earl Ray on the 4th of April 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A while standing on the second floor balcony.

Why is he inspiring?

Martin Luther King is inspiring because he wanted the Black Americans to be treated like the White Americans because at that time the black people got higher prices to pay than the white people and the blacks mostly found no sellers that would sell to them and not that much housing places and real estate agents to go to or live in

How does he inspire me?

He inspires me to make groups our even by my self and to go around and make things fair which I have done before and I want to do it again which was: me and me friends went around shops and compared the different prices for the same products and are they the same or not and we checked if they do deals for certain people but raise the price for others

the reason I chose Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is because he spoke out.

The soviet union had a labour camp called the Gulag for prisoners and political enemies. They also banned free speech.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn knew that this was a bad thing so he wrote a book about it exposing Russia's secrets to the entire world. He was awarded the Nobel literature prize for his books about the soviet union but he was scared to go to Sweden to receive the prize in fear that he would not be allowed to re-enter Russia. He did get it and he did get kicked out in 1974, but when the soviet union was destroyed and all the countries within it got their independence, he returned to Russia.

I find him inspirational because he spoke up and said that what was happening should not be a secret, and now want to speak up about problems in my community.

He is inspirational because he helped in the Cuban Revolution to overthrow the greedy United States which was causing poverty.He believed that everyone should be equal and for that goal he fought for his belief not payed by any military on is on will and eventually got executed by CIA

 I chose him because he was in two wars and he was stationed in iraq and I always wanted to fight the good fight. He is my dad and I always wanted to follow in his footsteps and join the military

A Canadian woman who was diagnosed with chronic skin condition at the age of four. Winnie experienced bullying at school and all around that made her feel uncomfortable. She let others take a toll on her life and education and dropped out high school. She later finally accepted who she is now and became successful in her life and becoming a model which made her happy. Her story is very inspirational to me and others by accepting who you are and not letting others have a negative attitude towards you take a toll on you because you are successful and inspirational in different ways.

My inspirational person is Brandon Marshall.  He is a NFL wide receiver for the New York Jets. He is a really good player but there is another reason he is an inspirational person.  He has BPD which stands for Borderline Personality Disorder and that means he has a serious mental illness that causes unstable moods and behavior.  The NFL recommended he should go to McLean Hospital.  After he got help he decided to tell the public about his illness and how he has learned to manage it.  After he told the public he went on to tell more people about BPD.  Brandon  Marshall also played on four different teams Denver Broncos 2006-2009, Miami Dolphins 2010-2011, Chicago Bears 2012-2014, New york Jets 2015-still playing.  He was also chosen to play in five pro bowls and in 2011 he was the MVP for the Pro Bowl.  Brandon also broke the single game receptions record for the NFL with 21 catches on Sunday December 13, 2009 playing for the Denver Broncos when they were facing the Indianapolis Colts.
