Lauren Riecker is a recipient of the Rutgers 2016 Academic Excellence Award. In addition, she accepted the invitation to take part in the George H. Cooks Scholars Program which she will complete in her senior year. The program entails independent research on child nutrition along with a full-length honors thesis to be presented to a panel of program peers, Rutgers staff, and other stakeholders. A member of the Kappa Omicron Nu nutritional sciences honor society, Lauren Riecker is on the organization’s tutoring committee. She is also a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. Outside of her academic life, Ms. Riecker serves as volunteer EMS crew member.
