When heroin first enters the body, it gives the body a rush of energy due to the chemicals turning into morphine in the brain and sets of pleasure sensors which then releases the body completely from anxiety, pain, etc. and is turned into a happy sensation.

After the initial "high" the body still feels pleasure but other symptoms begin to kick in. This would include drowsiness and the unwillingness to move They could develop mild skin allergic reactions to the heroin. They also may become nauseous and vomit. After 4-6 hours, the brain starts to clear.

Another thing to pay attention to is that all opiates cause breathing to slow down so an overdose of these drugs could cause someone to completely stop breathing. This is one of the leading causes of death in heroin..
