At some point in the class, Kit points out different intonations in the words "can" and "help", showing without technical explanations English rhythm. Since some aspects of languages such as pronunciation and intonation are better learned by audiolingual approaches such as repetition. Kit knows this, so he proceeds to ask the whole class to repeat the sentences after him.

Though it is not explicitly shown in the video, students are applying their previous knowledge to answer the questions. The students in the group are either adolescence or adults, so it is very likely they already know how to give or ask for directions in their mother tongue. Since their previous knowledge helped them to complete the activities, we can say the transfer was positive.

He also asks direct questions to the students and approaches to them to check they are carrying out the task assigned accurately.

Paying Attention/Noticing

Kit´s strategies clearly aim to help students to pay attention to the content shown. He shifts from one type of activity to another in order not to burden his students with boring, repetitive activities. This works since any time Kit asks them to read something aloud or answer a question, they seem to do so without hesitation.
