When the time came for the rebels to come, they didn't and the people slowly move back into the village, but then found themselves engaged by the rebels. The people run for there own lives, saving themselves rather then others. The boys left and were chased by the rebels and were chase for hours. They slept in abandon villages and were and eating not so good fruit. When they continue through chapter 5, They even started to steal from other, even children too to survive. They then were capture by the rebels and they were being drafted to join there rebellion. When UN gunfire came out of no where, they are ran under they escaped the rebels. They then made a decision to be as far away as possible from the rebels. Ismael is feeling like he is scare, upset, and terrified of the events that he has been in. They then were known as the "Seven Boys", which then the people started to get scared about them and thought they were hostile. As they continue to get to yele. Ishmael felt lonely and scared at first but then felt relief that he meet up with the others, and since then called themselves the seven boys. They heard a noise not knowing what it was. As they went for a look, they saw the Atlantic Ocean along with a beach. The boys continue to walk down the beach feeling tired and numb from the sand they been stepping in, They were capture by a village and explain they were trying to find safety, instead they were released and chase out of the village, Later on they came upon a hut with a fisherman. They were giving food, water, and stuff to ease the pain from there feet. Two weeks later they were told to leave. The village capture them and were about to be killed off again until there music saved them again. They were release again and headed out, trying not to cry. I connect from chapter 6 & 7, because they were captured by a village and they were saved from there music they listen to. They then stopped at the edge of a village where they sat and ate some food. Ishmael and the others have seen many horrible things throughout there time running away from the violence cause by the rebels and the other group that they didn't know what they were. He and the others had been fighting for over 2 years and were still in the war against there enemies. As they been in the fight for a while, a convoy of vehicles had come into there base. They were know as the UNICEF, They wear civilian clothing and some with armed with weapon and other type of gear to keep them safe. Then a private was gathering all of the boys together to form a line. The LT stand before them as they saluted, and pointed at each and every boy to form up behind the private. He told the boys to remove there magazines, put there weapons on safety, and put them on the ground as they started to march towards the truck. They now notice that they were being taken away from the war. As the trucks continue, Ishmael had many ideas to take the weapons and escape. He had so many questions as the truck continued. But he has been feeling pain and having nightmares in his sleep again. He has started to hurt himself and make himself bleed as he was put into the hospital multiple times for different . He and his friends also been sneaking out to go into the city, and start to sell products to get money. But all of it goes down hill when they weren't getting customers. Ishmael said goodbye to his group member from his squad, knowing that he will never see them again. He was then welcome by his new family like a chief. The war had come to Sierra Leone cities, including his. The streets were filled with nothing but AFRC and RUF forces, leaving the city in chaos. Desperate for food and losing his uncle, Ishmael decides to leave Sierra Leone, where he can be free from the war. He dodge AFRC and RUF forces at each corner, making sure that they didn't know who he was. He had already know that his former squadmates have already join back and He was on his own. He was then put on a bus where it was going to sneak out of Sierra Leone, stopping at each and every checkpoint they came across. Guards were armed with SMG and Grenade Launchers, as people were able to pass the checkpoints. Ishmael manage to make it out of the country. He was away from the war in Sierra Leone. I think Ishmael is now himself again but with skills of a soldier.
