A- Do your best to find online workshops or local experts. Students who are able to find masters in their chosen tradition are very successful. This will also ignite some passion for the tradition.

B- Choose a performance piece that has been recommended by a workshop leader or that is easily accessible. This will allow you to find a guide who can help you work through the specifics of the performance, the meaning of the performance, and the skills required. This will create a truly authentic experience.

C- Focus on yourself and how you have changed! Think about where you were at the beginning of this process. Think about how it was difficult to choose a tradition. Think about when and where you were when you passed the threshold of the convention being difficult and suddenly you became passionate about the process. Reflect holistically on the whole process and explain how and in what ways you have changed as a learner, performer, and as a member of this world.
