         <description><![CDATA[<div>Puritans wanted to civilize and create a new world with a family based model.<br><br>Women and men have to stick to the structure.&nbsp;<br><br>Women did not get to interpret and preach in church<br><br>Unmarried adults seemed like danger to social society.<br><br>They feared individualism<br><br>They are community operated and don't see themselves as a network of puritans.<br><br>Congregational Curches specific to their own society&nbsp;<br><br>To be a full member of the church, you must demonstrate that you've experienced divine grace and could be considered a visible saint.<br><br>They believe in predestination/calvinism <br><br></div>]]></description>

Gave his City on the Hill Speech. <br><br>New England Confederation (1643) - MBC, Plymouth, Connecticut and New Haven<br>• Indian Wars: Pequot War (1636) - King Phillips War (1675) - would be the bloodiest war ever fought on New England soil.<br><br>Dominion of New England (1686)<br>- Mercantilism: Colonies for the benefit of the mother country; wealth, prosperity, self sufficiency - export more than you import <br>- angliphiles are people who have an obsession for English <br>- customatic English life is the want. English heritage <br>- England gets its money off the merchant economy<br><br>1686 - James II appointed Sir Edmund Andros to lead DNE to oversee all New England and later New York and East and West Jersey<br>- new set of laws<br>- wiped out all local government <br><br>Englands "Glorious Revolution" triggered "First American revolution"<br>- Catholic James II dethroned in England and replaced by his daughter Mary and her Dutch born Protestant husband William III (William of Orange)</div>]]></description>
