The story is covered around Protagonist "Crystal", her little brother "Cole" and the Antagonist "Vanessa". Crystal and Cole have spent their childhood hating chickens because they perceive them as filthy creatures. One day, Crystal's parents are spending time away and Crystal's in charge of taking care/watching Cole. Crystal soon finds Cole and his friends hiding near a house of one of their neighbors, Vanessa. Hearing from the rumors, some people believe she's even a sorceress. Cole's friends try to play the prank but strange things happen to them. Weird stuff happened, the house seemed empty, but as soon as Cole's other friends tried getting closer. The door burst open and Vanessa shouted loud. Crystal, Cole and his friend Anthony ran, startled and scared.

Day 2. Friday, 12th of September

I read from page 11 till page 25. They ran to their house, pushing the door open and closed it right behind them. Both Cole and Anthony found it funny, but Crystal took it seriously. She feared what Vanessa might do for her revenge. In the meantime, Crystal went to drink water. Whatever happened, she screamed out loud in pain. Turns out she slammed her finger on the fridge door. Crystal took it as an accident, but Cole said otherwise. He blamed it on Vanessa. Though it was a joke to tease Crystal. With the ongoing teasing from Cole, it dragged their parents attention. Their parents got worried after hearing what happened. Afterwards, Crystal's hand ached all day and every time it ached, she thought of Vanessa. She reassured herself that Vanessa won't do a thing, but it didn't stop the visions of Vanessa staring at her. She couldn't sleep. While she forced herself to sleep, she heard an eerie creaking sound, it was footsteps and each one sounded louder and closer. She froze in fear as she saw the door slowly opening. She saw someone wearing a dark veil and a long black dress. Crystal screamed in her head "Vanessa!" Crystal froze up, as "Vanessa" put her hands on Crystals throat. She tugged off the veil, turns out it was Cole! Crystal tackled Cole and Cole fled. Cole proceeded to tease Crystal even more. After a while, Crystal went back to bed and had a dream. It was a nightmare, Crystal saw a black cat with yellow eyes and it screeched, it was loud and painful. The cat floated closer and opened its mouth wide enough to swallow Crystal. She woke up expecting a screeching cat because it felt so real. A while after, Crystal got ready for school. She talked with her mother about her basketball practice. And then Cole walked down the stairs looking hurt, he had red rashes all over his face as he screamed in pain "Vanessa did this to me!" Their mother told Crystal to call 911. But, turns out it was yet again another prank from Cole. Crystal was furious and rushed out of the house to go to school.

Day 3. Thursday, 18th of September.

I read from page 26 till page 47 It was gonna be Lucy's birthday, a good friend of Crystal. Cole, Anthony and Crystal were looking for a cake for her. They were preparing for Lucy's birthday. Yet Cole and Anthony decided to play around throwing an egg to each other seeing who'd the egg crack on first, the game ended when Vanessa walked out of the market and got hit by the egg. She slipped and dropped all of her groceries as she stared Crystal down, her eyes full of fury. She pointed and whispered to Crystal "Chicken Chicken..." She smiled as she rasped those words. They all ran and no words were spoken till they were safely in their home kitchen. Cole still took it as a joke and used the moment to tease Crystal. A while after their mother asked if they bought Lucy a present, which they nervously and regretfully answered "No." They also talked about the troubles Crystal had at her basketball practice, which she didn't want to talk about. The topic went to Cole's music teacher "Mrs. Mellon". It was another normal lesson till Cole played a prank when it was his solo, he spoke "BLUCK BUCK BLUCK BUUUCK!" imitating the sound of a chicken. Mrs. Mellon eventually got annoyed of Cole's little prank. Later on, Crystal was wrapping up Lucy's birthday present that she just got. She was still upset at Cole after the joke he played at the music class. She was tired of his dumb jokes, always concerning Vanessa. But, Cole protested "I wasn't joking! I really had to! Seriously, I HAD to cluck!", "OUT OF MY ROOM! Anything for a joke right?" Crystal responded. After a while, it was bedtime and Crystal was about to go to sleep till she heard a sound "Cluuuuuuck bluuuuuck!.." Crystal thought to herself, "I thought all the chickens were locked up, how could they make noise?" She then got up to check through the window then she gasped. There were no chicken, the chicken coop was completely empty. She realized the noise was coming from through the wall, which was her brother's room. "What's he trying to prove?" Crystal thought to herself. The next day, it was Lucy's birthday and it was at her house. Crystal gave Lucy her birthday gift, Lucy was somewhat happy though it was a gift she'd frequently get. They talked about brothers, how weird Cole has been acting and Crystal had a lot of fun till the birthday cake time, where all the fun turned to horror...

Day 4. Friday, 19th of September.

I read from page 48 till page 73 The sun was starting to set at Lucy's birthday party. It was finally time to blow the candles and they sang happy birthday, but Lucy couldn't help but notice clicking noises coming from Crystal. Crystal wondered what was wrong, till she realized her lips were suddenly dry. She tried to talk but what came out was "Tcccccck tccccckk..." Like some sort of a metal click. The noise happened with each bite she took from the cake. She tried to chew but instead she choked. It dragged concern to her and people were staring. Her lips... poked out from her face. It was hard and bumpy, like a birds beak. She ran to the bathroom, to see what had happened. An appearance likewise to a chicken's. She banged on the mirror with both fists. She was panicking. She ran home as she bumped into Cole. "Crystal!" He screamed. Then Cole revealed his neck, showing white feathers poking out from his neck and shoulders. Both of them were turning into a chicken. Their parent's weren't home, probably going to arrive home late. They assumed this was the work of Vanessa. They called their mom and she just assumed they were joking and said that she needed exactly 2 more chickens to barbecue. Realizing their mom would be of no help, they went to Anthony for help. He was of no help as well. It was already time for the barbecue mom arranged so they tried to remove their chicken-like appearance as soon as possible, helping her look human for now. "Crystal!" Mom called as Crystal went down. She responded to try to sound as human as possible so her mom wouldn't be too suspicious. "What on earth is your brother doing out there?!" Mother asked. Crystal looked out the window and saw Cole at the chicken coop acting like a chicken, even pecking seeds off the ground. Mom took it as another one of his silly jokes as she told Crystal to tell him to stop.

Day 5. Tuesday, 23rd of September.

I read from page 73 till page 74. Crystal went out to get Cole as people saw and laughed at him. Yet, the seeds Cole was pecking just looked so delicious to Crystal. It was weird and horrifying, yet the people who saw were laughing and took it as a joke, but Mom and Dad's reactions said otherwise...

Day 6. Friday, 26th of September.

I read from page 74 till page 112. It was the next day, it was time for Crystal's basketball game. She was finally put in a position she always wanted, but the only problem was the fact that she was slowly turning into a chicken. She'd need her brother's help nearly every night to help her pluck her feathers off. Anyway, the basketball game was terrible, she kept missing her shots and she could barely jump as her legs turned even more stiff. She didn't have knees anymore. After the game she went home and hid. She was so frightened, so pressured. She wish she could tell her parents but she couldn't. Both Crystal and Cole were turning more into chickens. It was at night and the both of them were discussing. They were scared about what might happened, until Crystal said that she had an idea. Both of them snuck out in the middle of the night. They were going in the direction of Vanessa's house. Their plan was just to apologize to Vanessa. They decided to sneak in after getting no answer from her door, where they thought they could find a spell to undo this mess. They found a spell book with the cover named as "Chicken Chicken Chicken." But it was a dead end, turns out it was a cookbook for cooking chickens. They needed to find one before they would turn into chickens. So they needed to find one pretty soon. Soon enough, they found a book that might help them turn back into humans, not a cookbook this time. A spell book for sure. She found words in the book so then she said them. After she did so, she felt a sharp pain as her feathers shot out. She felt nauseous, so dizzy. So much stuff happened. They didn't turn human though. They turned into LARGE CHICKENS. They tried again, a different spell. Both of them turned into small chicks! Then another issue appeared, Vanessa's cat spotted them as it went on the hunt, Crystal got into so many close calls till she realized Vanessa's cat was playing with her food. It was like torture for Crystal while Cole couldn't do anything but watch while he screams "Cheep Cheep Cheeeeep!" Vanessa's cat was about to eat Crystal before she stopped, she felt a bright light hit her. It was Vanessa! Vanessa swooped the both of them up as she teased and insulted them. Crystal thought quickly and realized she could talk to Vanessa and apologize using the typewriter under her. Vanessa watched as Little Chick Crystal types "Vanessa we're really sorry. We didn't mean to spill your groceries. We came to apologize. Please help us." Crystal said as she dropped to the floor, thinking it was all futile. But, Vanessa accepted the apology. She said "I like the way you say please. Politeness is important. I just thought the both of you needed a punishment after spilling my groceries without saying sorry." They realized why Anthony didn't turn into a chicken. Because he apologized to Vanessa when both Crystal and Cole ran instead. Vanessa pointed her finger and muttered some words. They were back to normal as they shouted "YAYYY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" Both of them celebrated in so much excitement! Suddenly Vanessa stepped in front of them. Crystal thought "What was her problem?" Vanessa pointed and whispered "Pig pig pig..." THE END.
