If i knew that the earth would inevitably be destroyed and I had 5 minutes left I would probably attempt to contact all my loved ones and tell them how much they mean to me. Arthur and Ford on the other hand dont compare the same. Arthur was most focused on his house being destroyed. While Ford was worried about arthur and finding his towell. for example Arthur says "My God, They are! they're knocking my house down".(Adams , 29)

Adams writing really stands out to me not only because he has great characters. but because of all the little things he incorporates. I like to call the (little things) Random discoveries. I believe Adams uses these as a writing strategy to make us feel more informed as we read. Arthur for example was just a man from earth, With little to no knowledge about the universe and all its amazing things. I feel like as the reader we can almost connect with arthur in the way that we are learning when he is learning.

I believe in the statement of "id rather be happy than right any day". mainly because I feel like that a lot of the time. When i'm agitated im more likely to want to be right but when im happy I really don't care if i'm right or wrong
