I think kids relate well and really enjoy stories. They enjoy hearing stories about my life so if I relate it to classroom issue, they are more likely to listen.

(or for staying in their seat for a certain amount of time and building that stamina). This is a good visual for the students. I make the kids read a word before going to recess, but I should expand this to restroom breaks as well.
