         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1832, Prudence offered Sarah Harris, an African-American farmer's daughter, the opportunity to attend the boarding school. This is believed to be the first integrated classroom in the US. People didn't approve of this, so they tried to pressure Crandall into dismissing Harris from the school, Crandall refused.</div>]]></description>
